2026 F1 Dutch GP | Sprint Qualifying results

George Russell claimed Sprint pole after Sprint Qualifying for the 2026 F1 Dutch GP at Zandvoort, edging Lando Norris by 0.041s. The full results of the Sprint Qualifying are below.

It marked the first Sprint Qualifying session ever held at Circuit Zandvoort. Alongside that, it is also the venue’s farewell weekend after the race lost its spot on the calendar beyond this year. With just a single FP session this morning to prepare, teams went into SQ with limited data on a track already unforgiving of mistakes, narrow, walled in by dunes, and offering almost no margin for error at Tarzan or through the final sector.

In FP1, Kimi Antonelli was fastest for Mercedes with a 1:12.949, ahead of Lando Norris and George Russell. The session began on a damp track after morning rain, with drivers starting on intermediates before switching to slicks as conditions dried. Oscar Piastri was among the first onto mediums. Isack Hadjar sat out the weekend with a wrist injury, with Liam Lawson deputising at Red Bull. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda has returned to the grid at Racing Bulls in place of Lawson. Max Verstappen was outside of top 10.

As always in Sprint Qualifying sessions, everyone had to use mediums in SQ1 and SQ2, with the softs appearing in SQ3.
