Andretti Formula E Team secured a front-row lock-out in Qualifying for the 2026 Lianxin Sanya E-Prix, as Jake Dennis claimed pole position after a fiercely competitive session. Teammate Felipe Drugovich backed up the result with a strong performance but fell 1.078 seconds short of pole. Despite the gap, Drugovich’s effort ensured Andretti locked out the front row for the race.
Drugovic and Wehrlein lead the charge into the duels
Group A saw Lucas di Grassi set the early benchmark with a 1:09.954 before Nico Mueller lowered it to 1:07.922. Felipe Drugovich then moved to the top with a 1:07.535 as times continued to tumble. Mitch Evans finished third and Nick Cassidy took fourth, with all four progressing to the duels.
Group B saw Pascal Wehrlein, who topped FP2, set the early pace and gradually improve to a 1:07.516.
