GTWC America powered by AWS returned from its summer break at Road America for Round 5 of 2026, where changing strategies, repeated caution periods and mechanical setbacks produced another unpredictable three-hour contest.
AF Corse USA carried its strong form from the previous Road Atlanta round into Wisconsin, topping Practice 2 before Matias Perez Companc and Miguel Molina secured the team’s second consecutive overall pole position. However, the No. 12 Ferrari’s challenge unravelled during the race, opening the door for several rivals.
Ultimately, Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley delivered Turner Motorsport’s second Pro victory of the season and first overall win since Sebring. Brayton Williams and Daniel Morad emerged from the changing Pro-Am order to triumph for TR3 Racing, while newcomers Mitchell Green and Jon Morley overcame a drive-through penalty to give Scuderia Corsa victory on its GTWC America debut.
2026 GTWC America: Road America: GMG Racing and AF Corse USA lead Practice

Road America’s GT3 running began on Friday afternoon with GMG Racing setting the benchmark in Practice 1. Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent took the No. 32 Porsche 911 GT3 R EVO to a 2:04.606, giving the Pro-Am entry the fastest time of the opening hour.
TR3 Racing finished only 0.098s behind through Williams and Morad, while John Gilliland and Loek Hartog placed the No. 88 Kellymoss Porsche third. Dave Musial Jr. and Ryan Yardley followed in fourth for Wright Motorsports, with Slade Stewart and Andy Lee completing an all-Pro-Am top five for Riley Technologies.
AF Corse USA led the Pro category from sixth overall as Perez Companc and Molina recorded a 2:05.813 in the No. 12 Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO. Turner Motorsport ended the session 17th overall and second in Pro, while Dollahite Racing, McCann Racing and JMF Motorsports followed in their class. The No. 34 JMF Mercedes completed only four laps after causing the session’s Red Flag and lost its two fastest times as a result.
Jay Schreibman and Benny Simonsen led Am for AF Corse USA with a 2:07.340, placing them ahead of Scuderia Corsa’s Green and Morley.
Saturday’s second Practice produced a much tighter fight at the front. Perez Companc and Molina moved AF Corse USA to first overall with a 2:04.895, but GMG remained only 0.021s behind after another strong session from Washington and Sargent.
Michael Clark and Colin Braun put Kellymoss third with a 2:05.024, while Archangel Motorsports followed only 0.093s further back through Todd Coleman and Aaron Telitz. JMF Motorsports completed the top five as Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier moved their No. 34 Mercedes firmly back into contention.
Schreibman and Simonsen again led Am, improving to a 2:06.224 and finishing 16th overall. Green and Morley followed in class from 19th, while Turner’s eventual race-winning BMW sat only 12th at the conclusion of Practice 2.
Results: Practice 1 and Practice 2.
2026 GTWC America: Road America: AF Corse USA secures second consecutive pole

GTWC America Qualifying again featured two 15-minute sessions, with the times from both drivers averaged to determine the final grid.
AF Corse USA had ended JMF Motorsports’ early-season pole streak at Road Atlanta and continued that Qualifying momentum at Road America. Perez Companc and Molina combined for a 2:04.819 average to secure the No. 12 Ferrari’s second consecutive ROWE Pole Position Award.
Turner Motorsport secured the other front-row position with Rothberg and Foley, while Pro-Am competitors filled the second row. Sebastian Mascaro and Riccardo Agostini took class pole and third overall for Triarsi Competizione, only 0.775s away from AF Corse’s benchmark. Williams and Morad followed in fourth for TR3 Racing.
JMF Motorsports qualified fifth overall and third in Pro, while RS1’s Danny Dyszelski and Jan Heylen completed the leading three in Pro-Am from sixth overall.
Results: Qualifying 1, Qualifying 2 and Combined Qualifying.
Pro Class Qualifying
Qualifying 1: Perez Companc leads Ferrari charge
Perez Companc immediately established AF Corse USA at the front in Qualifying 1.
The Argentinian produced a 2:05.177 to claim the outright and Pro benchmark, finishing 0.606s ahead of Stephens in the JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG. Alex Sedgwick placed Dollahite Racing third in Pro and overall with a 2:05.828.
Rothberg followed in fourth among the Pro runners and fifth overall, only 0.008s ahead of Michael McCann Jr. in the McCann Racing Porsche.
Qualifying 2: Foley sets fastest lap of Qualifying
Turner Motorsport responded in Qualifying 2 as Foley produced the fastest individual lap of the morning.
His 2:04.181 placed the No. 29 BMW first overall, edging Pro-Am leader Sargent by only 0.051s. Agostini put the Triarsi Ferrari third overall, while Molina recorded a 2:04.461 to finish second among the Pro drivers and fourth overall.
Grenier placed third in Pro during the second session with a 2:05.527, followed by McCann Racing and Dollahite Racing.
Combined result: AF Corse USA converts consistency into pole
Although Turner produced the quickest outright Qualifying lap, AF Corse USA’s stronger average across both drivers ultimately decided the grid.
Perez Companc and Molina combined for a 2:04.819, beating Turner’s 2:05.110 by 0.291s. JMF qualified third in Pro and fifth overall, while McCann Racing and Dollahite Racing filled seventh and ninth on the full grid respectively.
The result gave AF Corse USA successive overall poles after its Road Atlanta breakthrough and placed Ferrari at the head of the grid for Sunday’s three-hour race.
Pro-Am Class Qualifying
Qualifying 1: Dyszelski puts RS1 at the front
Dyszelski emerged as the leading Pro-Am driver in Qualifying 1.
The RS1 driver produced a 2:06.031 and placed fourth overall, less than nine tenths behind Perez Companc’s outright benchmark. Williams followed in second among the Pro-Am runners, while Mascaro put Triarsi Competizione third in class.
Nicolai Elghanayan followed for Chicago Performance and Tuning Co., with Coleman completing the class top five for Archangel Motorsports.
Qualifying 2: Sargent leads Pro-Am runners
Sargent then demonstrated GMG Racing’s pace again by recording a 2:04.232 in the second session.
That effort placed him second overall, only 0.051s behind Foley, while Agostini followed in third overall and second in Pro-Am. Morad finished third in class and fifth overall, with Telitz and Yardley next in the Pro-Am order.
Combined result: Triarsi Competizione claims Pro-Am pole
The combination of Mascaro and Agostini’s laps elevated Triarsi Competizione to Pro-Am pole and third overall.
Their 2:05.594 average placed the Ferrari only 0.049s ahead of TR3 Racing, while RS1 followed another 0.048s behind. Archangel Motorsports qualified fourth in class and eighth overall, with GMG Racing completing the Pro-Am top five from 10th on the full grid.
Am Class Qualifying
Green gave Scuderia Corsa the early advantage between the two Am entries by producing a 2:08.366 in Qualifying 1. The No. 67 Ferrari finished 16th overall, while Schreibman’s 2:08.730 placed AF Corse USA second in class.
However, Simonsen reversed the order in Qualifying 2. His 2:05.379 proved considerably quicker and placed the No. 163 Ferrari 11th overall in the session, while Morley recorded a 2:05.931.
Consequently, AF Corse USA secured Am pole with a 2:07.054 combined average and 16th overall. Scuderia Corsa followed only 0.094s behind in class from 18th on the complete grid.
2026 GTWC America: Road America: Cautions and strategy reshape three-hour race

Perez Companc led the field away from pole and initially maintained AF Corse USA’s advantage, with Rothberg keeping the Turner BMW close behind. However, the opening phase quickly became disrupted as incidents brought repeated Full Course Yellow periods and prevented the field from settling into an extended rhythm.
The No. 88 Kellymoss Porsche went off on the opening lap, while another incident involving HP-TECH Motorsport’s Tony Davis soon triggered another neutralisation. A larger accident then involved the No. 13 Kellymoss Porsche, GMG Racing’s No. 32, the No. 017 Kellymoss entry and the No. 71 Rebel Rock Racing Aston Martin, producing a more significant interruption.
As the contest progressed, different pit strategies created separate battles in all three classes. AF Corse’s early command in Pro disappeared after Molina encountered trouble, while several Pro-Am crews cycled through the lead before TR3 Racing emerged on top. The Am contest also changed late when the previously leading AF Corse Ferrari retired.
Pro Class: Turner Motorsport converts strategy into overall victory
Perez Companc retained first during the opening phase, but Rothberg ensured the polesitting Ferrari never escaped.
After one restart with approximately two hours remaining, Stephens moved the JMF Motorsports Mercedes past Rothberg for second. That put JMF directly behind AF Corse USA as the race entered its first major driver-change phase.
However, the No. 12 Ferrari’s race soon unravelled. Molina experienced a problem shortly after taking over from Perez Companc, slowing considerably after Turn 5 before eventually taking the car behind the wall. The crew completed only 26 laps and slipped out of contention for a second consecutive Pro victory.
Different strategies then brought Dollahite Racing into play. Sedgwick remained off-sequence and inherited the lead in the Ford Mustang GT3 EVO, while Grenier took over the JMF Mercedes and Foley began closing in aboard Turner’s BMW.
Another Full Course Yellow arrived shortly before the final hour. Sedgwick stayed out, while Grenier and Foley made their final scheduled stops and rejoined in position to attack once the race returned to green. Foley subsequently went wheel-to-wheel with Grenier and completed the pass, placing Turner in the ideal position when Dollahite eventually needed to stop.
Sedgwick handed the Mustang to Cameron Lawrence with around the final phase still to run, promoting Foley into the overall lead. Once in front, the BMW driver built a gap of approximately three seconds and controlled the remainder of the contest.
Rothberg and Foley completed 70 laps in 3:01:08.756 to secure the overall and Pro victory. Grenier and Stephens followed 4.363s behind in second, giving JMF Motorsports another podium as it continued its strong championship campaign.
Lawrence then faced sustained late pressure from Zachary Vanier but kept the Dollahite Mustang ahead to secure third in Pro. The car finished 11th overall, while McCann Racing followed just 0.365s behind to take fourth in class.
The AF Corse USA Ferrari completed the Pro classification in fifth despite its retirement, ending a weekend that had begun with Practice pace and a second consecutive overall pole. Foley also recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 2:06.912.
Pro-Am Class: Morad charges through to give TR3 Racing victory
The repeated early cautions caused even more movement in Pro-Am.
After the opening incidents removed or delayed several contenders, Elghanayan led the class for Chicago Performance and Tuning Co. in the No. 64 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2. Once racing settled, Random Vandals Racing’s Derek DeBoer emerged at the front before Dyszelski attacked and moved the RS1 Porsche into first.
Williams also kept the TR3 Mercedes in contention, while Mascaro remained close in the Triarsi Ferrari. Another round of driver changes then reshuffled the class again as teams used different strategies to position themselves for the final hour.
Chicago Performance and Tuning Co. remained off-sequence and emerged ahead with Mads Siljehaug driving. Heylen followed in the RS1 Porsche, with Yardley third for Wright Motorsports and Morad pursuing the leading group for TR3.
Morad then began the decisive charge with less than 45 minutes remaining. He first passed Yardley for third before quickly catching and overtaking Heylen to move into second. When Siljehaug made the Lamborghini’s final stop around 35 minutes from the finish, Morad inherited the lead.
Heylen attempted to close again during the final stint, but Morad responded and eventually secured victory alongside Williams. The No. 9 Mercedes finished third overall, only 12.405s behind Turner’s winning BMW.
RS1 took second in Pro-Am and fourth overall, 6.433s behind the class winner. Musial and Yardley completed the podium for Wright Motorsports and, in doing so, moved into the Pro-Am championship lead.
The sister No. 242 Wright Porsche of Therese Lahlouh and Thomas Merrill followed in fourth, only 0.023s ahead of JMF Motorsports’ Jason Daskalos and Philip Ellis. Triarsi Competizione completed the top six ahead of Random Vandals Racing, Chicago Performance and Tuning Co. and Archangel Motorsports.
Siljehaug set the fastest Pro-Am lap with a 2:07.241 despite the No. 64 Lamborghini eventually finishing one lap behind the overall leaders.
Am Class: Scuderia Corsa wins on GTWC America debut
AF Corse USA initially appeared on course to continue its domination of the Am category.
Schreibman and Simonsen controlled the early portion of the class battle, with the No. 163 Ferrari running as high as 10th overall after Simonsen took over. Scuderia Corsa remained close in the early stages but received a drive-through penalty for incident responsibility, dropping Green and Morley further down the overall order.
However, the championship-leading AF Corse entry encountered trouble with just over an hour remaining. The Ferrari stopped at the side of the circuit and triggered another Full Course Yellow, ending its race after 38 laps.
That handed the class lead back to Scuderia Corsa, and the new entry made no further mistakes. Green and Morley recovered from their earlier penalty to complete all 70 laps, finish ninth overall and secure an Am victory on the team’s first GTWC America appearance.
Morley also recorded the fastest Am lap with a 2:08.207, completing a successful debut weekend for the No. 67 Ferrari despite the complications encountered earlier in the race.
AF Corse USA remained classified second in Am but failed to finish, ending the previously unbeaten run Schreibman and Simonsen had established through the opening four rounds.
Results: Race.
Turner Motorsport leaves Road America with major momentum
Road America once again rewarded teams capable of adapting as the race moved through multiple cautions and competing strategies.
AF Corse USA appeared capable of converting its second consecutive pole into another Pro victory, but the No. 12 Ferrari’s mechanical trouble removed Perez Companc and Molina from contention. JMF Motorsport then looked well positioned after Stephens moved into second, but Turner used the final strategy sequence and Foley’s pace to take control.
Rothberg and Foley consequently leave Wisconsin with their second Pro victory of the season after previously winning at Sebring, while JMF Motorsports adds another second-place finish to its championship campaign. Dollahite Racing also returned to the Pro podium after surviving Vanier’s late challenge.
TR3 Racing produced the major breakthrough in Pro-Am. Williams kept the No. 9 Mercedes within contention through the opening stints before Morad charged through the leading group late in the race, ultimately beating RS1 and Wright Motorsports.
Meanwhile, Scuderia Corsa’s first GTWC America appearance ended with victory. Green and Morley recovered from their drive-through penalty and capitalised when AF Corse USA retired, ending Schreibman and Simonsen’s unbeaten start to the Am campaign.
GTWC America now heads to Barber Motorsports Park for the penultimate round of the 2026 season from 25–27 September.
