Race 2 and round 4 of the 2026 Indy NXT at Barber has been completed, view the full results here.

Yesterday’s race 1 had a dramatic ending. Inside the final 10 laps, Alessandro de Tullio and Max Taylor collided at turn 16 as they fought for the lead. Car #28 got a penalty for it.

It opened the door for Nikita Johnson to win, with Enzo Fittipaldi and Tymek Kucharczyk completed the podium.

The Cape Motorsports Powered by ECR reclaimed the title lead thanks to his P1, with the Pole moving into 2nd, a point ahead of Max Taylor.

Once more it was de Tullio and Taylor on the front row. The pair had a good discussion post-race 1 and cleared the air.

At the start, Nikita Johnson jumped Max Taylor for P2, although the Andretti man quickly reclaimed it. Tymek Kucharczyk made up three spots from P8 on the grid.

In turn 12, Myles Rowe clunked the inside kerb, unfortunately making contact with Max Garcia. #Car 12 ended up with a broken front wing and left front suspension damage, while the two-time race winner from 2025 had a broken right rear suspension.

Rowe did return to the race and was handed a penalty for the incident.

In the final corner, Pierson nudged the left rear of de Alba to get through. Race control was not impressed and he had to drop three spots.

Having come under pressure all race, Alessandro de Tullio showed nerves of steel to hold off Max Taylor and take his first win in Indy NXT. Nikita Johnson bagged P3. Fittipaldi and Kucharczyk continued their good runs with top 5s.
