Round 15 of the 2026 Indy NXT by Firestone season at The Milwaukee Mile has been completed, view the full report and results here.

Josh Pierson leads the field to green after taking his first pole of the season, with championship contender Tymek Kucharczyk alongside him on the front row. Jack Beeton and JM Correa make up row two, while Max Taylor starts fifth.

The championship rivals are spread throughout the field. Enzo Fittipaldi starts sixth, while Nikita Johnson has work to do from 15th after entering Milwaukee just one point behind the championship leader. Kucharczyk, meanwhile, has an opportunity to capitalize from second on the grid.

Further back, Alessandro de Tullio starts 21st after crashing on his second qualifying lap, while reigning Milwaukee winner Salvador de Alba lines up 10th for his return to the series.

Pierson takes the green

Pierson has a great start, holding on to the lead. Beeton and Kucharczyk battle for second, with Beeton coming out ahead.

De Tullio has a strong start, up to 18th and battling Colin Kaminsky for 17th. He gets past Kaminsky and picks off Alexander Koreiba in the process.

Nikita Johnson has gotten up to 13th, battling with Myles Rowe and taking the position.

Josh Pierson has a two-second lead in front, with Kucahrczyk beginning to pull a gap to Max Taylor behind him.

Garcia begins to chase

Max Garcia gains another place ahead of JM Correa. The USF Pro 2000 Champion is the biggest mover so far, up four spots from the start.

Garcia continues his strong start, getting ahead of Taylor for fourth. Kucharczyk gets loose ahead of him, and Garcia gains another position.

Pierson has a three second lead out front, but Garcia takes second from Beeton and begins to close the gap.

Behind them, championship contender Nikita Johnson continues his recovery from 15th, moving into 11th, de Tullio has climbed from 21st to 15th.

On lap 43, Niels Koolen brushes the wall in turn one. He makes it to pit lane, but is out of the car and out of the race.

Garcia has closed the gap to Pierson to half-a-second. With lapped traffic a factor, the gap between the drivers continues to fluctuate.

Caution for the leader

Lap 54 brings out the first caution of the race as leader Pierson crashes out. He gets loose, spinning out and hitting the inside wall out of 2.

Garcia inherits the lead and takes the green, holding out ahead of Beeton. Lochie Hughes gets a great jump, up to sixth, splitting Kucharczyk and Fittipaldi.

A second caution is out as Hughes spins, but keeps it out of the wall. He rejoins the track, on the lead lap, in 16th place.

The three championship contenders are lined-up in fifth, sixth, and seventh, as Garcia jumps to green early.

Kucharczyk loses out, dropping down to eight. Johnson gets around Fittipaldi to fifth, taking the net championship lead.

More cautions in Milwaukee

A third yellow is out as de Alba spins, collecting Rowe in the process. Both drivers are out of the race.

Lapped cars are sent through the pit lane before the next restart as Garcia takes the green with 9 laps to go.

De Tullio gets a great run on the restart and ends up just behind Kucharczyk in ninth.

Correa gets by Beeton for second, but Kaminsky brings out another yellow. Correa has to give the position back before the restart.

Garcia takes the green and Correa gets second position back with three laps to go. A chaotic restart for the mid-field puts Kucharczyk in 12th.

Garcia crosses the finish line to take his first victory in Indy NXT ahead of Correa and Beeton. De Tullio gets around Fittipaldi and Aron to finish sixth in a back-up car.

Johnson finishes fifth and takes the lead in the championship with two races to go.
