Second practice for the final IndyCar race of the season at Laguna Seca was postponed after a terrifying crash at the Alex Zanardi Corkscrew during a Porsche support race. After a 70 minute delay the 25 drivers lined up for the final finetuning before qualifying.
McLaughlin fastest despite floor repairs
With just 25 minutes for the session, all drivers immediately entered the track. The first 15 minutes were quite uneventful however, with a squirrell dodging an approaching car being the highlight. In the final 10 minutes there were small incidents with Scott McLaughlin and Kyffin Simpson, who ran wide and spun respectively. At the end, it was McLaughlin who topped the table, despite some repairs to his floor after his minor gravel trap excursion.
