Absolute Racing has revealed a striking Bosch Motorsport-inspired livery for its No. 7 Porsche 911 GT3 R ahead of the 2026 Suzuka 1000km.
Dorian Boccolacci, Alessandro Ghiretti and Ayhancan Güven will share the Pro class entry for the 50th running of the Japanese endurance race, which takes place from 11–13 September. The Chinese squad will field two Porsches at Suzuka, with both carrying special designs.
The No. 7’s new multicoloured appearance celebrates the relationship between Porsche Motorsport and Bosch, while Absolute’s sister No. 8 entry will compete as AO by Absolute Racing with the previously revealed ‘Bushi Rex’ design.
Bosch partnership inspires special No. 7 design
Absolute’s No. 7 Porsche features Bosch’s corporate colours across the bodywork, creating a significant departure from the team’s usual appearance.
The design transitions from red across the front of the Porsche through several shades of blue before finishing with green towards the rear. Bosch originally introduced the rainbow-style ‘supergraphic’ as part of its brand identity in 2016.
Absolute says the appearance reflects more than simply a one-off visual design, with the livery intended to highlight the relationship between the organisations.
“This joint livery makes the close collaboration visually apparent and underscores the shared ambition to race at the forefront of GT racing together,” read a statement from the Chinese squad.
The design will make its competitive debut during one of the biggest events on the 2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar, with Suzuka forming the fourth of five rounds this season.
Güven, Boccolacci and Ghiretti form Pro line-up
Absolute confirmed the No. 7’s three-driver combination earlier in August, bringing together drivers who already have links to the Shanghai-based operation.
Reigning DTM champion Güven previously competed for Absolute at the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour, where the team finished sixth. Suzuka will mark his first appearance in the 1000km.
Boccolacci returns to the team after racing with Absolute at the 2024 Sepang 12 Hours and finishing second. The former Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver will make his second Suzuka 1000km start.
Ghiretti completes the line-up and also makes his first appearance in the Japanese endurance race. The 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion has raced for Absolute throughout the 2026 GTWC Asia season alongside Huang Ruohan, giving him extensive recent experience within the team’s Porsche programme.
The three drivers give Absolute another all-Pro crew as it attempts to fight for outright honours in Japan.
Two special Absolute Racing Porsches for Suzuka
The Bosch-liveried No. 7 will not be Absolute’s only distinctive Porsche on the Suzuka grid.
The team has joined forces with AO Racing to enter the No. 8 Porsche for Julien Andlauer, Laurin Heinrich and Alessio Picariello. That car will carry the new ‘Bushi Rex’ appearance, created specifically for AO Racing’s first Intercontinental GT Challenge appearance.
Bushi Rex expands AO Racing’s collection of Porsche characters and represents a samurai-inspired ancestor of its well-known Rexy. Its white and red design incorporates Japanese influences for the American team’s first appearance at Suzuka.
All three No. 8 drivers have previous connections to AO Racing, while Picariello also possesses extensive experience with Absolute. Heinrich won the 2024 IMSA GTD Pro title with AO, with Andlauer later joining him in selected appearances.
Absolute targets another strong Suzuka result
Absolute returns to the event after a strong showing in the previous Suzuka 1000km.
The team entered two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs and finished second and fourth overall, with the latter entry also claiming Bronze class honours. That performance provides a strong reference as the squad expands its outright ambitions with two Pro cars in 2026.
The weekend also carries championship significance for Porsche. The manufacturer heads to Japan eight points ahead of Mercedes-AMG in the Intercontinental GT Challenge Manufacturers’ standings, with only Suzuka and the season finale remaining.
Neither of Absolute’s driver combinations is central to the Drivers’ Championship battle, allowing both cars to focus primarily on the overall race result and helping Porsche maximise its Manufacturers’ Championship score.
With the Bosch-inspired No. 7 joining the samurai-themed Bushi Rex No. 8, Absolute will also bring two of the most distinctive cars to the 50th running of the Suzuka 1000km.
