ARGT has officially finalised its driver pairing for the 2026 season of the GT World Challenge (GTWC) Australia powered by AWS, confirming the return of Jordan Love and Steve Wyatt. The duo will once again share driving duties, beginning their campaign at the season-opening round later this month.

Love and Wyatt will take to the track in one of the team’s Ferrari 296 GT3 cars at the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island. The event, scheduled for 27–29 March, marks the first outing of their 2026 campaign, with further appearances to be confirmed as the season unfolds.

Moreover, the return to Phillip Island provides an early opportunity for the pair to build on their established chemistry from last year.

The 2026 season will mark the duo’s second year together. In 2025, they competed in nearly every round and secured a place inside the Pro-Am top 10. Notably, Love delivered a standout performance with a pole position at Sandown, highlighting the pair’s potential.

As a result, continuity becomes a key advantage. With one full season of collaboration behind them, both drivers aim to convert experience into stronger and more consistent results.

Love’s proven pedigree

Love enters the new season as one of Australia’s most accomplished GT drivers. He began his career in Formula 4 in both Australia and Germany before transitioning to GT racing in 2017.

Since then, he has built an impressive résumé. His achievements include a class podium at the Bathurst 12 Hour early in his GT career and the 2019 Carrera Cup Australia title. That success opened doors internationally, including competition in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and major GT championships across Europe and Asia.

Furthermore, his international highlights feature a class podium at the 2023 24 Hours of the Nürburgring and multiple podium finishes in GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. More recently, he secured another Pro-Am class podium at the Bathurst 12 Hour, underlining his continued competitiveness.

Looking ahead, Love expressed enthusiasm about continuing the partnership and building on last year’s foundation.

“I am hugely grateful for ARGT, and Steve for having me back for a second year,” Love said.

“It’s super exciting to have Steve going again, as obviously last year being his first year and his return to racing after ten years out of the seat was very much a learning year, so to be back and going again, keeping that consistent momentum is going to be hugely beneficial heading into the season. I’m really looking forward to it.

“I think we will be able to continue our speed this year, and obviously now Steve will be going back to a lot of tracks that he’s now seen for a second or third time, so hopefully it’s going to keep flowing.

“Last year was my first year racing back in Australia competitively for a few years and it was really nice just rocking back up to race tracks that I grew up racing at and seeing a lot of familiar faces. It was really nice to be back and it is pretty special, something I’m very much looking forward to.”

Wyatt’s vast experience

Wyatt brings a wealth of experience to the partnership. Prior to stepping away from racing in 2016, he enjoyed significant success, particularly in Ferrari machinery.

His career highlights include victories in the Wanneroo 300 and the Asian Le Mans Series GTC class, along with strong performances in the Gulf 12 Hour and Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific. In 2016, he capped off his pre-hiatus career by winning the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific Trofeo Pirelli title.

Since returning to competition in 2025, Wyatt has focused on rebuilding race sharpness. Consequently, 2026 represents an important step forward as he continues to regain momentum.

Momentum and continuity key for ARGT in 2026 GTWC Australia campaign

Ultimately, ARGT’s decision to retain Love and Wyatt reflects a clear strategy centred on stability and growth. With both drivers now more familiar with each other and the championship, the team enters 2026 with strong foundations.

As the season begins at Phillip Island, the duo will aim to translate experience into results and establish themselves as consistent contenders in the Pro-Am field.
