The 2025 F3 season was a rollercoaster for Callum Voisin, who alternated between standout performances and quieter and inconsistent weekends.
19-year-old Voisin began his career in karting before finishing sixth in the 2021 Ginetta Junior Championship. He then joined Rodin Carlin in GB3, finishing fourth in his rookie year and going on to win the 2023 title in his second season. Stepping up to FIA Formula 3 with Rodin Motorsport in 2024, Voisin took a maiden win at Spa and a podium at Silverstone, finishing 12th overall before returning for a second campaign in 2025.
Disappointing start and Bahrain recovery
The season opener in Melbourne began with a mediocre P18 qualifying, which Voisin converted into P9 in the Sprint Race by jumping up to 12th on the opening lap. However, his momentum didn’t last going into the Feature Race. On Lap 1, Voisin collided with Tsolov, leaving them both off track in retirement.
Voisin didn’t let the first round decide his season as he bounced back in Bahrain, taking provisional pole before Rafeal Câmara beat him to it, leaving Voisin just 0.156s behind in second. With this result, the Brit started the Sprint Race in 11th due to the reverse grid and finished just outside the podium in fourth. He then went on to finish second in the Feature Race, which was his best result of the F3 2025 season.
Street circuit comeback
The 19-year-old faced a challenging weekend without points in Imola, having qualified 22nd on the grid before falling down to 26th in the Sprint and managing to finish the Feature in 18th. This was a clear reminder of how qualifying struggles can define a driver’s entire F3 weekend, especially on a tightly packed grid.
Monaco saw another strong performance, with Voisin qualifying 4th, behind teammate Roman Bilinki in second. During the Sprint Race, Voisin started 9th, but dropped a position to finish 10th. With the difficulty of overtaking on the narrow streets of Monaco, he remained composed and focused to stay 4th in the Feature Race, earning 12 points.
Familiar pattern of struggle and speed
The pattern of up-and-down weekends continued going into Barcelona, Spielberg, Silverstone, and Spa. In Barcelona, Voisin finished 16th in the Sprint and 10th in the Feature, only scoring 1 point throughout the weekend. But crucially, he fought back in Austria, having qualified 6th, to finish the weekend consistently in 8th place during both races. While Voisin’s rebounds highlight his resilience, inconsistent results ultimately kept him behind the championship leaders.
Silverstone ended in a disappointing P22 Sprint result and P19 finish in the Feature. In Spa, having gained his maiden F3 win during his debut season in 2024, Voisin pulled together a well-executed lap to qualify 3rd behind Benavides and Câmara. The Brit started the Sprint Race in 12th but fell to 17th, despite his earlier pace. He wasn’t able to recover from the result as the Feature Race was canceled due to dangerous weather conditions.
Strong finish
Voisin ended the season with a point finish in the Sprint, P9, after qualifying 20th in Monza. Although finishing the Feature Race just outside of the points in P12, he climbed 19 places throughout the weekend, ending his 2025 F3 season with success.
Voisin finished 14th in the Drivers’ Standings with 53 points, while Rodin Motorsport finished 6th in the Team’s Standings with 128 points. Bilinski outscored Voisin with 65 points in 11th, while teammate Louis Sharp finished behind in 26th with 11 points.
Overall, Voisin’s second season confirmed his strong pace and talent by challenging for podiums. However, his inconsistency in qualifying and execution is what ultimately kept him out of the top ten in the standings.
Rodin Motorsport has already completed its 2026 F3 driver lineup, featuring Pedro Clerot, Christian Ho, and Brand Badoer. Voisin’s future remains unconfirmed, but his talent suggests promising opportunities ahead.
