Invicta Racing confirmed 2025 Formula 3 champion Rafael Câmara for its 2026 Formula 2 campaign, completing the team’s line-up.
Câmara earned promotion after a standout F3 season. He took four wins, five poles, and a string of podiums, sealing the title with a round to spare. Prior to F3, he won FRECA in 2024 and placed third in the Middle East series in both 2024 and 2023. The Ferrari Driver Academy driver stepped up to Formula 2 with Invicta, where he partnered Joshua Duerksen.
Câmara ready to step into big footsteps
Câmara said he felt “very proud” to join Invicta for his rookie Formula 2 season. Calling the outfit the benchmark for ambitious juniors and highlighting its record in developing talent. He added that following Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli up the ladder as the latest F3 champion was a “huge honour,” and that a dominant year in F3 left him ready for the next step. With Invicta’s structure behind him and Duerksen alongside, he aimed to adapt quickly, maximise testing, and hit the ground running.
“I’m very proud to be joining Invicta Racing for my first season in Formula 2. Over the past few years, this team has become the top target for any driver who wants to race in F2 and has shown time and again that it knows how to develop young drivers.”
“To follow Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli in making this step as Formula 3 Champion is a huge honour. After an incredible season in F3 this year, I feel ready for the next challenge, and I can’t wait to get started with the team.”
