This milestone not only represents a proud moment for Sri Lanka but also highlights the increasing diversity in international motorsport. David’s signing with AIX Racing is further significant as it makes him the first confirmed driver across the entire 2026 F3 grid. Yevan David’s racing journey before joining AIX Racing for the 2026 F3 season

The 18-year-old currently competes in the highly competitive Euroformula Open Championship, where he has been delivering strong performances throughout the season. So far, he has secured four impressive race victories and has stood on the podium a total of five times, showcasing both his speed and consistency against a field of talented drivers. Prior to making his mark in Euroformula, the talented Sri Lankan racer gained valuable experience competing in several junior single-seater categories.

His early career included appearances in the Eurocup-3, Spanish F4, and UAE F4 Championships, where he steadily built his reputation as a promising young talent in the sport. The year 2024 marked a major milestone in his journey, as it was his first full season in single-seater racing — a significant step-up following his graduation from a successful and highly promising background in karting, where he had already demonstrated his raw racing ability and competitive mindset.

The first Sri Lankan to drive in F3

David is now poised to make history as the very first Sri Lankan driver to compete in the FIA F3 Championship together with AIX Racing. Marking a major milestone both for himself and for motorsport in his home country. Following the announcement of his signing with AIX Racing, the 18-year-old shared his pride in becoming a trailblazer for Sri Lanka on the international racing stage.
