PREMA Racing have confirmed 17 year-old French-Chinese driver Enzo Deligny as their first signing for the 2026 FIA F3 season. Deligny will step up from the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA), where he currently sits third in the Drivers’ Standings behind Freddie Slater and Matteo De Palo—both of whom are also taking the next step up to F3 next year, but with Trident.
Extensive experience in single-seaters with R-ace GP
Making his single-seater debut in 2023, the 17 year-old spent his rookie year racing full-time with Campos Racing in Spanish F4, while also making several appearances with AKM Motorsport in Italian F4 and the Euro 4 Championships. Finding success in single-seaters quickly, he finished fourth overall in Spanish F4 with 240 points to his name, claiming two wins and eight additional podiums that year.
The following year, Deligny began 2024 by contesting in the Formula 4 UAE Championship with R-ace GP, where he managed to claim one win and podium. Continuing with the team, Deligny stepped up to FRECA with R-ace GP. However, the 17 year-old only managed to score points throughout the season. Later that year, he raced in the prestigious Macau Grand Prix, finishing an impressive fourth in the main race.
The 17 year-old kicked off his 2025 with a campaign in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, finishing fifth overall with one win and two podiums. Back in FRECA with R-ace GP, Deligny has enjoyed a considerable amount of success this season, having claimed three wins, three pole positions and five additional podiums to sit third in the standings with 198 points to his name.
Joining a team with a strong successful history
Although PREMA Racing have enjoyed ample success in the past, the 2025 F3 season proved challenging as they finished seventh in the Teams’ Standings. However, the closing stages of the season showed improvement. Looking ahead to stepping up into F3 with PREMA next year, Deligny expressed his excitement at joining an iconic and successful team.
“I’m thrilled to be joining PREMA Racing, it’s a great team with a lot of past achievements, and it has seen a lot of great drivers pass through its ranks. It’s a very good chance for me to learn and grow up in my rookie F3 year. I’m grateful to PREMA, my management team, and my family for this opportunity. Let’s have a good season together!”
PREMA Racing’s Team Principal Rene Rosin welcomed the French-Chinese driver and acknowledged that their learning and progress from a competitive 2025 season will hopefully be carried forward into next year.
“We are happy to welcome Enzo to our team. He has seen an impressive growth in the last couple of years, and we look forward to working together in 2025. The FIA Formula 3 Championship is extremely competitive, and it will be for sure a challenge, but we will keep working like we did this year and carry that progress into the next year.”
