It’s the first European Qualifying of the 2025 season of the F2 Championship and it’s happening at the Imola GP. This wouldn’t be a new track for the F2 rookies since F3 also participates in the Imola GP every season, and others drove here in F4. This makes it an even playing ground for the F2 drivers and an exciting Qualifying session at the Imola GP.
Free Practice had Rodin Motorsport’s rookie driver Alex Dunne topping the chart with timing of 1:27.907. Arvid Lindbald and Kush Maini were not far off from the Irishman with Maini only 0.115s slower than Dunne. However, championship leader Richard Verschoor found himself struggling during the session. As he failed to pull pace out of the MP car and ended the session in P14.
The F2 Champion standing is tight and many drivers will be looking to rearrange the placings this weekend at the Imola GP.
