The 2025 F3 British GP highlighted the fierce and competitive nature of this years F3 grid. The drivers battled challenging conditions on Sunday, with the Feature Race shortened due to the weather. In the end, success came down to a crucial tyre choice, whether to start on wets or gamble on slicks. Silverstone, as always, produced winners and losers across the 2025 F3 British GP weekend.
Winners of the 2025 F3 British GP
Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak – Campos Racing

Inthraphuvasak qualified in P12 after Friday’s session, ensuring he was starting on the front row of the grid due to the reverse nature of the Sprint Race. He maintained his lead from the start, before a safety car was deployed in Lap 5. At the restart, Naël overtook Inthraphuvasak, but had to give back the position back as he performed the move off track. Naël gave the position back in Lap 10, securing a historic win for Thailand, and his maiden Formula 3 win.
Mari Boya – Campos Racing

Boya delivered a strong performance throughout the F3 British GP weekend, starting with a successful Qualifying session that saw him secure P4. In the Sprint Race, he made clean overtakes on León and Ho to climb from P7 to P5. On the penultimate lap, as Van Hoepen and Naël battled for P3, Boya seized the opportunity and claimed the final podium spot.
In the Feature Race, his decision to start on wet tyres proved decisive. He took the lead after the first corner and remained at the front until the race was called off due to unsafe conditions, securing the win and adding 27 valuable points to his championship tally.
Roman Bilinksi – Rodin Motorsport

Bilinski walked away from the last 2 race weekend’s with no points added to his tally. Although, his misfortune turned around at Silverstone. He started from P17 after Friday’s qualifying session. In the Sprint Race, he recovered from out of the points to finish P10, securing the last point paying position.
Rodin Motorsport and Bilinski made the correct choice for tyres in the Feature Race, moving from P17 to P6 by the conclusion of Lap 4. He overtook Inthraphuvasak and Van Hoepen, to finish in P4 at the conclusion of the race. Bilinski added 11 points to his tally, moving into P10 in the Drivers’ Championship.
Théophile Naël – Van Amersfoort Racing

Naël began his weekend on a strong note, securing P9 in Qualifying. Despite a pre-race stall in the Sprint, he recovered quickly and found himself running near the front. He overtook Inthraphuvasak, but the move was made off track. By the time he returned the position, he had also picked up a penalty, ultimately dropping him out of the points. However, he bounced back in the Feature Race, opting for wet tyres, a gamble that paid off. Naël held P2 from the opening lap until the race was red-flagged due to worsening conditions. While the shortened race meant fewer points on offer, he still walked away with a solid 14-point haul and proved his ability to handle challenging conditions.
Losers of the 2025 F3 British GP
Nikola Tsolov – Campos Racing

Tsolov was set up to have a promising weekend yet again. He finished P1 after Practice, and claimed the Aramco pole position in the Qualifying session. This is when his fortune took a turn for the worst. Tsolov was hit from behind by Badoer in the Sprint Race, toppling him down the pack. At the conclusion of the Sprint, he finished P29.
In the Feature Race, he lost the gamble starting on slick tyres. All the driver’s who started on slicks were eaten up by the driver’s on wets. Tsolov held out on the slicks, hoping that the track would dry, but after another downpour on Lap 11, he pitted for wets, before the race was red flagged two laps later. Tsolov finished the Feature Race in P20, after starting from P1, rendering him one of the losers from the F3 British GP.
Louis Sharp – Rodin Motorsport

Sharp had a lacklustre performance in Qualifying, only claiming P23 in Friday’s session. He only made his way to P21 in the Sprint Race, struggling to make any moves with his pace. In the Feature Race, Sharp had made his way through the pack, as he started on wet tyres, demonstrating how powerful the wets were. However, due to the limited visibility with the rain, he spung into the gravel at turn 18, with the rear of his Rodin Motorsport vehicle into the wall. The Safety Car was then deployed, with the race red flagged and unable to resume again.
Tim Tramnitz – MP Motorsport

Tramnitz looked set for another strong weekend after qualifying P5, but things quickly unraveled. He lacked pace in the Sprint Race, starting from the fourth row and slipping down to P11. Rather than fighting for a podium, he found himself scrapping for the final point, where he ultimately came up short. In the Feature Race, he gambled on slick tyres, a decision that didn’t pay off as he dropped down the order and finished P17. After a standout weekend in Austria that saw him climb to P2 in the Drivers’ Championship, Tramnitz left the F3 British GP without adding to his points tally, firmly placing him among the weekend’s losers.
Trident

Trident struggled through the Feature Race, with all 3 drivers opting for the slick tyres. Câmara, who started in P2, slipped down the order to P12 within a few corners. Wurz and Strømsted fell down to P20 and P24. Strømsted also received a 10 second penalty for an unsafe release in the formation lap. At the conclusion of the shortened Feature Race, all 3 drivers finished out of the points, also dropping them from P1 to P2 in the Teams’ Standings.
