Comments from Slater

Slater spoke on his excitement regarding this announcement, and the opportunity to drive for Hitech TGR in Belgium. The 16-year-old labelled Spa-Francorchamps as one of his “favourite circuits”, and to race it in Formula 3 machinery only boosts his excitement.

“I’m looking forward to racing at Spa with Hitech,” said the Brit. “It is one of my favourite circuits on the calendar and driving an F3 car here will be a great feeling.”

Praise from Hitech TGR’s Team Manager

When commenting on the announcement of Freddie Slater, Hitech TGR’s Team Manager, Paul Bellringer, spoke fondly of the Brit. Bellringer praised the 16-year-olds performance in his only Formula 3 race this year, calling it a “standout performance”.

Bellringer also went on to praise Slater’s career thus far, acknowledging the impressive nature of it. While he can agree that Spa-Francorchamps is a challenging track, he also remains confident that Slater will do his best.

“We are delighted to welcome Freddie to the team for the next round of the F3 Championship. His single-seater career to date is impressive and his standout performance in Bahrain earlier this year was particularly creditable given that it was his series debut.

“Spa-Francorchamps is a very singular challenge for any driver, and while Freddie has raced here before, the opportunity to do so in F3 machinery is one I’m sure he will relish. We look forward to seeing him in action for Hitech.”
