Donington Park continues the streak of chaos in the 2025 BTCC season.

In Race 1, Tom Chilton breaks his streak of not bagging a pole, with round 22 being his first pole since Knockhill 2011. He definitely took the pole to maximize his race performance, with him later winning race 1 of the day. The Vertu’s were nothing short of incredible on Sunday, and they were flying at the start of the day, with them continuing to have a strong day. Chilton and Ingram swapped a couple of times throughout the race, which made viewers question if they were trying for a championship play. Despite the relatively uneventful race 1, the podium saw Tom Chilton at the top step, Tom Ingram taking second place, resulting in the Vertu team taking good points home. Vertu’s main competitor, NAPA, saw Dan Rowbottom round off the podium.

Race 2 chaos at the BTCC Donington Park round

Chilton took on another pole on Sunday, leading race 2. Sutton took 3rd almost instantly, with Ingram defending the traffic so Chilton could bring home another win. Proctor sent Osbourne off the road with one of the BMWs, bringing out a safety car. Rowbottom caused more chaos in the race, hitting the back of Sutton which resulted in Chilton also getting hit. Sutton also ends up taking Taylor-Smith off. During the middle of Race 2, we see Ingram and Cammish have a battle of their own, inevitably leading to Hill, Cammish, Deleon, Ingram and Morgan all going off the track due to the weather. This causes a shake up in the upper midfield, with Dan Cammish taking the win, Adam Morgan came in second and Gordan Sheedon took home third place.

The Comedown

Race 3 was relatively uneventful, with the only notable moment being Ash Sutton and Tom Ingram going wheel to wheel. Dan Cammish started on pole however he didn’t finish on the podium. Tom Ingram took home the win, with Ash Sutton in second and Dan Rowbottom in third.
