Alex Ninovic and Reza Seewooruthun emerged as the leading contenders in a dramatic double qualifying session at Donington Park this morning. Ninovic secured his eighth pole position of the season in the first session, while Seewooruthun mastered wet conditions in the second to claim his maiden pole for Argenti with Prema.
Qualifying 1: Ninovic strikes before the rain
The opening 15-minute session began on a dry but unsettled circuit. Blustery winds and light rain drops created a tense atmosphere as drivers hurried to set competitive times.
JHR’s Noah Lisle initially topped the timesheets with a 1m24.042s, setting a strong benchmark. However, Rodin Motorsport’s Ninovic responded with a decisive 1m23.878s just seconds before the red flag emerged, caused by teammate Gianmarco Pradel’s incident at the Fogarty Esses.
During the stoppage, the rain intensified. When the green flag returned with just over three minutes remaining, conditions had deteriorated to the point that no driver could improve. Ninovic therefore secured pole, extending his dominant qualifying record in 2025.
Lisle celebrated his strongest qualifying performance of the year in second place, while Seewooruthun claimed third. Title challenger Patrick Heuzenroeder ensured he remained in contention with fourth, narrowly ahead of Hitech TGR’s Deagen Fairclough.
A tightly packed midfield saw JHR’s Kai Daryanani edge Xcel’s Jack Sherwood by only 0.018s. VRD’s Enzo Tarnvanichkul, Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari, and JHR newcomer Bart Harrison completed the top ten, with just over a second covering the group.

With two minutes on the clock, the Argenti with Prema driver produced a superb 1m34.174s lap that would not be beaten as the rain intensified. He finished 0.481s clear of Ninovic, who ensured another front-row start.
Fortec Motorsport’s newcomer Liam McNeilly impressed greatly with third, finishing less than two tenths behind Ninovic. Fairclough lined up fourth, just 0.029s ahead of Lisle in fifth.
Tarnvanichkul secured sixth, ahead of VRD’s Patricio Gonzalez, who delivered his best GB3 qualifying to date. Rodin’s Abbi Pulling placed eighth, followed by Heuzenroeder in ninth. Elite Motorsport’s Flynn Jackes achieved his season-best qualifying with tenth place.
