Jamie Leverton will continue with Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing for the inaugural GB4 Winter Series at Snetterton on 24–25 October, extending a partnership that began midway through the 2026 main season.
The 17-year-old joined Gary Ward’s squad for the remainder of his rookie campaign after starting the year elsewhere, with his move to Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing giving him the opportunity to develop within the team’s multi-car operation. Leverton made noticeable progress through the second half of the year and will now return with the same squad for the four-race Winter Series.
He becomes the team’s second confirmed driver alongside Junior Academy graduate Archie Pearce, who will make his car-racing debut at Snetterton. Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing also hopes to add at least one further entry before the event.
Leverton builds on improving rookie campaign
Leverton entered his first full season of car racing with significantly less experience than many of the drivers around him, but his pace improved progressively as the campaign developed.
By the closing stages of the year, he qualified an average of ten places higher than during the earlier rounds and had also reduced his deficit to the outright pace. The improvement became increasingly visible as the season approached its conclusion, with Leverton beginning to establish himself among the competitive midfield runners rather than simply focusing on completing races and building experience.
His race results reflected that development. Leverton recorded a 12th-place finish alongside two 13th places during the latter part of the season, giving him several of his strongest results as his familiarity with the GB4 car and Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing increased.
That development also carried into the final event at Brands Hatch. Leverton placed 16th during Friday’s four-session test at the season finale, continuing the improvement in his relative pace before the championship concluded.
Snetterton experience gives Leverton confidence
The Winter Series offers Leverton an opportunity to return to a circuit he already knows from the main championship. Snetterton hosted one of the 2026 rounds, providing him with previous competitive experience of the Norfolk venue before the condensed four-race event.
Leverton believes his increased experience and the progress made with Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing should leave him better placed to challenge further up the order. He said: “I’m really excited to be continuing with Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing for the GB4 Winter Series at Snetterton. I’ve learned so much with Gary and his team over the last few months, and we’ve made a lot of progress together. To be going back to a track I have experience of racing on, and with more experience overall, I’m really confident that we can achieve some strong results across the four races.”
The return to Snetterton also provides a useful reference point for measuring his development. During the main championship’s visit, Leverton took part in the extensive pre-event running, including a Friday test headed by Franciszek Cegielski, before contesting the three races. He will return in October with substantially more mileage and experience than he possessed at that stage of the campaign.
Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing targets further progress
Team Principal Gary Ward believes Leverton’s improvement throughout the season justified continuing the relationship into the Winter Series, with the focus now shifting towards making him a regular top-10 contender.
Ward said: “Jamie joined us with a big experience disadvantage compared to the majority of drivers on this year’s grid, but his performances got better at every event, which is exactly what we wanted to see. Now that he’s got a full season behind him, it’s time to start finding those last little bits to make him a top-10 regular, and the Winter Series at Snetterton will be the perfect place for him to do that.”
The team’s assessment reflects the gradual gains Leverton made after joining the squad. At the earlier Donington Park event, for example, he was still adapting to his new surroundings as the midfield remained tightly packed, while the second half of the campaign increasingly brought him closer to that group.
Team co-owner David Williams also highlighted the relationship the squad has developed with Leverton and his family throughout the season. Williams said: “We loved working with Jamie and his family during the 2026 season, and it was an easy decision to make to extend that relationship to cover the Winter Series. He’s really started to build on the potential we knew was there, and I’m excited to see him develop further at Snetterton.”
Leverton joins Pearce in expanding Winter Series line-up
Leverton’s confirmation gives Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing a blend of main-season experience and a new car-racing debutant for the Winter Series. While Leverton will use the event to build on a full GB4 campaign, Pearce will make the transition from karting after spending much of 2026 completing a testing and development programme with the team’s Junior Academy.
The inaugural Winter Series will feature four races across 24–25 October, creating a concentrated opportunity for drivers to gain additional competitive mileage before the end of the year. Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing intends to run at least three cars, meaning another driver could join Leverton and Pearce before the Snetterton event.
For Leverton, however, the focus will remain on continuing the upward trajectory established during the second half of the main season. With a full campaign behind him, an established relationship with the team and previous experience at Snetterton, the Winter Series provides an opportunity to turn that development into more regular top-10 challenges.
