ART Grand Prix has confirmed Kabir Anurag as its first driver for both the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) and Formula Regional Middle East Trophy (FRMET). The Singaporean driver’s promotion to ART Grand Prix marks a significant milestone in his career, as he moves up to one of the most competitive racing platforms in the world.
A promising early career
Anurag, born on 8 August 2007, began his motorsport journey in karting in 2022. He quickly gained attention in the WSK Open Cup, securing a top-10 finish in the KZ2 category. This early success led to his debut in the Italian Formula 4 Championship at the end of 2023. Despite being a rookie, he demonstrated strong potential, with his best result being a 17th-place finish at Circuit Paul Ricard. He then joined US Racing for the remainder of the season, setting the stage for his growth.
In 2024, Anurag’s performance reached new heights. He competed in both the Formula Winter Series and the Italian F4 Championship. In the Winter Series, he claimed a fifth-place finish and set the fastest lap at MotorLand Aragón, showcasing his talent in a highly competitive environment. In Italian F4, he earned points on two occasions, ending the season 20th overall—a respectable result in a strong field.
Anurag remained with US Racing for the 2025 season, where he continued to show improvement. Alongside his participation in the Italian F4 Championship, he also raced in the E4 Championship. His dedication to developing his skills was evident, and later that year, he stepped up to the GB3 Championship, competing in the final two rounds with Xcel Motorsport.
Anurag to race with ART Grand Prix
Now, in 2026, Anurag will join ART Grand Prix, a team renowned for nurturing young talent and propelling drivers to higher levels. ART’s commitment to developing its drivers will be invaluable to Anurag, who will compete in both Formula Regional Europe and the Formula Regional Middle East championships. This step up represents a key moment in his career, offering him the opportunity to showcase his abilities on a bigger stage.
Anurag’s progress is further supported by his membership in the Alpine Academy, which he joined in April 2024. As the first Singaporean driver to be part of the academy, Anurag benefits from the backing and resources of a world-class motorsport programme, further highlighting his potential.
