Kirill Kutskov will join Elite Motorsport for the upcoming GB3 Championship round at Silverstone on 25–26 April. He lines up alongside Kyuho Lee and Flynn Jackes, marking an important step in his rapidly progressing single-seater career. As a result, anticipation builds around the young driver’s debut at this highly competitive level.
Strong foundations built in karting
Kutskov established an impressive karting résumé between 2017 and 2024. During that period, he secured victory in the Trofeo Delle Industrie in 2019 and finished as Vice Champion in the South Garda Winter Cup in the same year. Moreover, he continued to demonstrate consistency and speed, finishing runner-up in the 2021 Champions of the Future and third in the 2022 WSK Euro Series standings.
Subsequently, he reached new heights in 2023 by claiming both the WSK Euro Series and the Karting World Championship titles. These achievements underline his ability to compete—and win—at the highest level.
Transition to single-seaters gains momentum
Following his karting success, Kutskov transitioned into single-seater racing in late 2023. He quickly adapted, securing a win and multiple podium finishes in the 2024 F4 Saudi Arabian Championship, where he finished third overall.
At the same time, he impressed in the Formula 4 CEZ Championship, finishing Vice-Champion after numerous victories and podiums. In addition, he gained valuable experience by competing in both the Italian and Spanish F4 Championships.
He continued to build momentum by racing in select Formula Winter Series rounds before committing to a full Italian F4 campaign. Notably, he added further wins in both the Formula 4 CEZ and SMP F4 Championships, reinforcing his upward trajectory.
Kutskov takes a calculated step into GB3 for 2026
Now, Kutskov prepares for his GB3 debut—a move he views as crucial for his long-term development. He approaches the opportunity with confidence and a clear focus on progression.
“GB3 represents the next important step in my development. The championship offers a highly competitive environment with strong technical demands, allowing me to refine racecraft, consistency and adaptability on some of the most challenging circuits. It’s a key platform to prepare for higher levels of single-seater racing.”
Furthermore, he highlights the importance of his new team in this next phase.
“Elite Motorsport has a proven track record of developing young drivers and delivering competitive results. Their professional structure, engineering strength and experience in GB3 make them an ideal partner to support my progression and help maximize my performance throughout the season.”
Despite limited preparation time, Kutskov remains optimistic.
“Thursday will be my first test in a GB3 car but I’m confident in adapting quickly. With my previous experience and strong technical understanding, I expect to get up to speed rapidly and be competitive from the outset.”
Looking ahead to the weekend, he maintains a balanced and determined approach.
“My primary goal at Silverstone will be to build confidence with the car, learn quickly and be competitive across sessions. I’m focused on delivering consistent performances and fighting for strong results as the weekend progresses.”
Elite Motorsport welcomes new talent
Team Owner and Manager Eddie Ives expresses confidence in Kutskov’s potential while acknowledging the challenge ahead.
“We’re pleased to welcome Kirill to the team for his GB3 debut this weekend. He brings a very strong background from both karting and Formula 4, with proven pace and consistency at a high level.”
Nevertheless, Ives recognises the demands of the step up.
“Stepping into GB3 at a circuit like Silverstone is a big challenge but he has the experience and mindset to adapt quickly. This weekend will be about building confidence with the car and integrating into the team. We’re looking forward to seeing how he develops over the course of the event.”
As the Silverstone round approaches, Kutskov enters a new chapter in his career. While the challenge remains significant, his track record suggests he possesses the tools to succeed. Therefore, this weekend could mark the beginning of an exciting journey in GB3 for one of motorsport’s rising talents.
