Living up to their motto, R-ace GP has been driven by excellence whether it’s in Formula 4, FRECA, or the Le Mans Cup. The French team entered the FRECA grid in 2021, immediately winning the Teams’ Championship in their debut year. This victory would eventually lead to the team producing 8 team titles, 6 driver titles, and 125 overall wins. In its 5th season, R-ace GP starts strong as it enters the final rounds in second place with 272 points. Jin Nakamura, Enzo Deligny, and Akshay Bohra represent the French squad this season backed up with wins, podiums, and consistency.
A team filled with history and success
United by one vision, engineers Thibaut de Mérindol and Cyril Comte founded R-ace GP in 2011 driven by passion, performance, and innovation. Originally based near La Rochelle, the team later relocated to Fontenay-le-Comte with cutting edge facilities fit for the motorsport industry.
The French team tasted its first win in the former Formula Renault NEC with Nyck de Vries in 2012, a precedent for more achievements to come. It gained recognition in 2017 and 2018, winning both Drivers’ and Teams’ Championships in Formula Renault Eurocup and NEC. With its history of being a training ground of current F1 drivers like Oscar Piastri and Pierre Gasly, R-ace GP lives up to their values of being a team dedicated to the pursuit of performance and pouring full commitment to racing excellence.
Jin Nakamura (#11)

2022 was the debut year for 19-year-old Japanese driver Jin Nakamura, starting in single-seaters via the F4 Japanese Championship. This proved to be a stellar debut for him, going on to have a win and two podiums. The following year saw him as the second runner-up of the championship behind Rikuto Kobayashi and Yusuke Mitsui.
Nakamura momentarily stepped away from the typical Formula ladder in 2024 to focus on Super Formula Lights, GT, and Taikyu. These prestigious championships saw Nakamura secure a podium for the final Suzuka race and finish sixth overall for Super GT. Moreover, Super Formula Lights gave way for Nakamura to achieve his maiden victory in the series amidst tricky conditions.
As a Toyota Gazoo Racing junior, the Japanese driver has gained valuable experience and knowledge under the prestigious driver academy. He debuted in the Formula Regional series in 2024 during the Macau Grand Prix, driving for TOM’S, before going on to drive for R-ace GP in 2025 in FRMEC and FRECA.
Nakamura’s debut season was nothing short of stellar. The Japanese has one win and one podium, thanks to his performance in Dubai and Lusail during FRMEC. Despite experiencing a few DNFs in FRECA, it is clear that Nakamura has the potential seen by his performances in Paul Ricard and Zandvoort. Outside FRECA, Nakamura also plays an essential part of the French team’s campaign for the Michelin Le Mans Cup, specifically in the Road to Le Mans round.
Enzo Deligny (#23)

Now in his sophomore season with R-ace GP, Enzo Deligny is more confident than ever to let the performance and experience speak for itself. The Shanghai-born 17-year-old began his single-seater career in 2023, competing in the F4 Spanish Championship under Campos Racing. It was also at this time that Deligny was officially announced as a member of the Red Bull Junior Academy.
It didn’t take long for him to secure his first win at Aragón and eventually earn multiple podiums. Despite a disqualification, Deligny finished his season as fourth place in the standings with 240 points. Moreover, he also participated in two Italian F4 rounds and one Euro 4 round for AKM Motorsport.
2024 marked Deligny’s first year with R-ace GP through the 2024 Formula 4 UAE Championship, participating in the last three rounds with the team. He achieved two podiums and one race win, putting him in eighth place for the overall championship.
Deligny debuted in FRECA alongside Tuukka Taponen and Zachary David, completing an all-rookie lineup for the French team. The French-Chinese driver wrapped up his debut season with a best finish of fourth and 12th overall. Off-season, he also participated in FRMEC under the same team, ending the season with one race win and two podiums.
Halfway through the FRECA season, Deligny sits in third, carrying 2 wins and 5 podiums to his name. Evident in his run so far is his skill, pace, and passion to turn his second season into something greater. With the right amount of consistency, Deligny’s future is bright as day.
Akshay Bohra (#31)

Alongside teammate Jin Nakamura, Akshay Bohra debuted this year in Formula Regional driving for R-ace GP for FRMEC and FRECA. The brother of former MP Motorsport driver Nikhil Bohra, the 18-year-old Indian driver had his beginnings in 2023, representing PHM Racing for the Formula 4 UAE Championship.
Italian F4 was also part of Bohra’s entrance to single-seaters in 2023. Driving for US Racing, his campaign saw consistent points finishes; his very first podium arrived during the final Monza race. His first win would be at Barcelona during the Euro 4 Championship the same year.
For 2024, the Indian driver represented US Racing once again for his second year at Italian F4. Compared to the year before, Bohra had a better start to the season, immediately bagging three podiums in the first two rounds and securing pole position for the first race at Mugello. Bohra’s Euro 4 campaign saw a blazing start with wins in two out of three races in Mugello. With a tricky Monza weekend for championship rival Freddie Slater, this allowed Bohra to clinch the title with 18 points.
2025 saw Bohra move to Formula Regional. His first podium came in Race 1 of Zandvoort, eventually achieving more podiums in Le Castellet and Imola. It’s at Imola where everything changed for Bohra, completing a perfect weekend as the driver to secure pole, the victory, and the fastest lap for Race 2. This race also played a part in Indian motorsport history as Bohra became the first Indian driver to secure pole position for FRECA.
FRECA isn’t the only place where Bohra’s making history. Outside the Formula ladder, he also takes part in the Indian Racing League with the Hyderabad Blackbirds.
Fueling the dreams of future champions
As a team built with passion, innovation, and experience, R-ace GP has the history and experience to back itself up. Their expertise has enabled them to build up champions in the making with the likes of Nakamura, Deligny, and Bohra. It’s clear that the team has an evident impact to the drivers’ improvements in their respective performances as they enjoy their first six rounds of the season. Now halfway, it’s only a matter of time that R-ace GP combines their performance and core values—a joint effort to repeat their debut FRECA season that saw them on top.
