Race Performance Motorsport (RPM) is one of 10 teams currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) for the 2025 season. The Italian-based, Irish-owned outfit was founded in 2022, when Irish racing driver Keith Donegan purchased RP Motorsport to establish his own team.

RPM made its FRECA debut that same year, taking over the entry previously held by DR Formula, and fielded two drivers: Italian racer Pietro Delli Guanti and Donegan himself. By the end of the season, the team had expanded to a three-car operation.

In 2023, RPM’s driver lineup featured Macéo Capietto, Adam Fitzgerald, and current F3 driver Santiago Ramos. It was a tough year for Fitzgerald, whose season was first derailed by a heavy Round 1 crash at Imola that left him with three fractured vertebrae. Later that year, he was involved in a multi-car incident at Spa that tragically claimed the life of Dilano van’t Hoff. Fitzgerald’s injuries sidelined him for the rest of the season, as current F3 driver Noah Strømsted stepped in for the final two rounds. Despite the setbacks, RPM secured P4 in the Team Standings with 144 points scored by Capietto and Ramos.

Strømsted remained with the team in 2024, racing alongside Giovanni Maschio and Edgar Pierre. RPM finished sixth that season, collecting 122 points.

For the 2025 FRECA season, RPM’s lineup consists of four drivers: Ean Eyckmans, Rui-Heng Yeh, Giovanni Maschio, and Enzo Peugeot. We take a look at each drivers’ history and how their current 2025 FRECA championship is tracking below.

Rui-Heng (Enzo) Yeh (#21)

Rui-Heng Yeh built his racing career through a strong foundation in karting across Asia. He claimed multiple titles in the China Karting Championship, winning the Junior class in 2020 before stepping up to take back-to-back Senior class titles in 2021 and 2022. Yeh also enjoyed success in the National Karting Club Championship during this period.

In 2023, he transitioned to single-seaters, debuting in Formula 4 South East Asia, where he secured a podium finish at Sepang and placed third in the rookie standings. He then gained further experience in Formula 4 UAE, scoring a point at Yas Marina, and also broadened his skill set by competing in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship.

Yeh began his FRECA journey with RPM in the 2025 season. While he’s still yet to score points, Yeh came close in Race 1 at Imola, finishing P11. This year is proving to be a valuable stepping stone as he adapts to the highly competitive European racing environment.

Giovanni Maschio (#99)

Seventeen-year-old Italian driver Giovanni Maschio began his motorsport journey in karting, competing in the Italian Karting Championship’s ROK Senior class, where he finished eighth in 2021. He stepped up to single-seaters in 2022, debuting in Italian Formula 4 with AS Motorsport. Despite a learning-focused rookie year, which included a missed round, Maschio gained valuable experience and recorded two best finishes of P18, ending the season 43rd in the standings. For the final round, he switched to R-ace GP to broaden his development.

Maschio moved to FRECA in 2023 with Monolite Racing before joining RPM in 2024. It was a breakthrough year, highlighted by a top-ten finish at Paul Ricard and recognition with the Pirelli Racelience Award, presented to the driver who gains the most positions across the season.

Now in his second year with RPM, Maschio continues to build on that progress. In 2025, he currently holds 4 championship points, earned from a strong P8 finish in Race 2 at Spa-Francorchamps. Pre-season testing at Barcelona hinted at further potential, with Maschio setting times inside the top five, but he is still chasing a standout result to consolidate his campaign.

Ean Eyckmans (#74)

Ean Eyckmans, a Belgian racing driver born in 2008, began his career in international karting before moving into single-seaters. His breakthrough came in October 2024 when he won the Richard Mille Driver Academy selection event at Jerez de la Frontera. This achievement secured his debut in Spanish F4, where he delivered an impressive campaign with seven podiums in twelve races, finishing fourth overall and leading the Rookie classification.

Eyckmans stepped up to FRECA in 2025, joining Race Performance Motorsport (RPM) for Round 4 at the Hungaroring. Still adapting to the highly competitive field, the rookie has so far collected a single point, finishing P10 in Race 2 at Imola.

Enzo Peugeot (#74)

Born in 2005, Enzo Peugeot quickly established himself as a standout talent in karting. He captured the 2019 BNL Karting Series title and followed it up with victory in the 2020 French Championship, showcasing his speed and consistency.

Building on this momentum, Peugeot made the jump to single-seaters in 2021, debuting in the French F4 Championship. He returned for two full campaigns in 2022 and 2023, becoming a consistent frontrunner. His final year proved his most competitive, with multiple race wins, including an impressive double victory at the prestigious Pau Grand Prix. He carried the championship fight to the wire but narrowly missed out, finishing runner-up after losing the title by just four points at the Paul Ricard finale.

Peugeot entered the FRECA in 2024 with Sanitéloc Racing, gaining valuable experience in the highly competitive series. Building on that foundation, he made the switch to RPM for the 2025 season. During the opening three rounds, he consistently hovered around the points, finishing P11 on five occasions and once in P13. However, following these results, Peugeot parted ways with RPM and was replaced by rookie Ean Eyckmans.

RPM’s current standings

RPM currently sit eighth in the Teams’ Standings, with just five points collectively scored so far this season. As the championship heads into its final four rounds, the team will be eager to build momentum and maximise every opportunity to add to their points tally.
