Mercedes-AMG has confirmed an emphatic statement of intent for the 2026 GT World Challenge (GTWC) powered by AWS, unveiling a formidable 16-car campaign across both the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup. With 10 cars committed to Endurance and six to Sprint competition, the Affalterbach manufacturer signals its determination to dominate Europe’s premier GT3 championship.
As a result, Mercedes-AMG will field one of the largest contingents on the grid, underlining both the strength and depth of its customer racing programme.
Three Pro entries lead Mercedes-AMG 2026 GTWC Endurance charge
To begin with, Mercedes-AMG will run three Pro entries in the Endurance Cup. Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing, Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed and Mercedes-AMG Team Mann-Filter will spearhead the outright challenge.
Meanwhile, GetSpeed Team BartoneBros will represent the brand in the Silver Cup category, adding further strength to AMG’s multi-class assault.
In the Bronze Cup, Mercedes-AMG will mount an especially strong presence. GetSpeed, GetSpeed Team Noble Racing, 75 Express, Winward Racing, Grupo Prom Racing Team and 2 Seas Motorsport will each campaign the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in pursuit of class honours. Consequently, AMG will fight for silverware in every Endurance classification.
Sprint Cup programme mirrors strength in depth
Equally, the Sprint Cup line-up reflects the same competitive intent. Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing and Winward Racing will contest the Pro category.
At the same time, GetSpeed Team BartoneBros will compete in the Silver Cup. Furthermore, GetSpeed, Winward Racing and 2 Seas Motorsport will challenge for Bronze Cup success, ensuring representation across the board.
Therefore, Mercedes-AMG positions itself to compete consistently at the front in both sprint and endurance formats.
Star-studded Mercedes-AMG driver line-up confirmed for 2026 GTWC Europe
Crucially, Mercedes-AMG has assembled an impressive driver roster blending experience with emerging talent.
The successful #48 Winward Racing Team Mann-Filter squad strengthens its Endurance line-up by adding Luca Stolz alongside Maro Engel and Lucas Auer. This proven combination enhances the team’s title prospects significantly.
Meanwhile, Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed fields an all-factory trio, with Maxime Martin, Maximilian Götz and Fabian Schiller sharing driving duties for the Endurance campaign. Their collective experience at the highest level adds further credibility to AMG’s ambitions.
Elsewhere, British GT champions Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss will chase European success aboard the 2 Seas Motorsport entry. In addition, 75 Express combines experience and youth, as Kenny Habul partners former series champion Dominik Baumann and rising star Hadrien David.
Clear title ambitions for 2026
Stefan Wendl, Head of Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing, underlined the manufacturer’s objectives, stating:
“Our line-up reflects the exceptionally high quality of our customer sports programme. With its sprint and endurance format, the series is extremely demanding, but we are ready to take on the challenge with a strong driver and team line-up.
“Our goal is to once again demonstrate the competitiveness of the Mercedes-AMG GT3, achieve top results in both classifications and compete for the title in both the individual classes and the overall standings.”
Ultimately, Mercedes-AMG enters the 2026 GTWCseason with clear intent. With a vast entry list, elite driver combinations and a proven GT3 platform, the brand aims not merely to participate but to secure titles across every class.
