Rodin Motorsport has finalised its driver roster for the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship, confirming that Brazilian racer Pedro Clerot will join the team for his rookie season in the category. The 19-year-old becomes the third and final addition to Rodin’s line-up, alongside Brando Badoer and Christian Ho, as the team prepares for another competitive year in junior single-seater racing.

From karting to F3

Born on 27 January 2007 in Brasília, Pedro Henrique Rodovalho Clerot began his racing journey in karting in 2016. Over the next few years, he quickly rose through the national ranks, becoming a three-time Brasilia Karting Champion (2018, 2019, 2021) and a two-time Brazil Open Cup winner (2020, 2021). His early success in karting showcased not only raw speed but also an ability to learn rapidly—traits that would serve him well in his single-seater career.

In 2022, Clerot made his debut in the inaugural F4 Brazilian Championship with Full Time Sports, immediately establishing himself as a standout performer. Across 18 races, he claimed seven victories, four pole positions, and 11 podiums, securing 276 points and earning the distinction of becoming the first-ever champion of the series. That same year, he represented Team Brazil at the FIA Motorsport Games, where he qualified strongly and finished ninth in the final after a penalty.

Climbing the European ladder

With the Brazilian F4 crown under his belt, Clerot made the move to Europe in 2023, joining MP Motorsport for the F4 Spanish Championship. His European debut began spectacularly, as he took a double win at Spa-Francorchamps and an additional podium in the opening round, briefly leading the championship standings. Although he did not return to the podium for the remainder of the season, he still finished sixth overall with 151 points, demonstrating solid consistency in a field stacked with experienced rivals.

The next phase of his development came in 2024, when Clerot stepped up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) with Van Amersfoort Racing. In his rookie campaign, he adapted quickly to the more powerful machinery, claiming two podiums and finishing eighth in the overall standings. Continuing with the same team for 2025, Clerot elevated his performance further—scoring two wins and four additional podiums to sit fourth in the championship with one round still remaining.

This strong run of results underscored his growing maturity and readiness for the next challenge. Therefore, his promotion to F3 represents a logical and well-earned step in his career trajectory.

Excitement ahead of F3 debut

Looking ahead to 2026, Clerot expressed both gratitude and enthusiasm about joining Rodin Motorsport for his first season in F3.

“I’m very happy to join Rodin for my first year in FIA F3 for my rookie season,” said Clerot. “Working with the team will be very special. I followed their 2025 season quite closely and strongly believe that together, with the team, we can achieve great things working together. I’m very grateful to Rodin for the trust and commitment in signing the deal. I can’t wait to get started!”

His passion and work ethic have already earned praise within the paddock, and his familiarity with European circuits gives him a valuable advantage as he steps into one of the most competitive junior series in global motorsport.

Rodin Motorsport’s vote of confidence

Rodin Motorsport Sporting Director Benn Huntingford welcomed Clerot to the team, describing him as a driver with immense potential.

“Pedro is a driver we have followed closely; his performances have marked him out as a real prospect for the future,” said Huntingford. “FIA Formula 3 is a demanding step, but we are confident that Pedro will continue to grow and show his true potential.”

Under Rodin’s guidance, Clerot will gain access to world-class engineering support and mentorship, allowing him to develop both technically and mentally as he adapts to the new machinery. The combination of Rodin’s experience and Clerot’s ambition promises to be an exciting one as the team aims to fight consistently at the front of the grid. For both the driver and the team, the upcoming season represents not just another step, but a bold leap toward the future of international single-seater racing.
