Grasser Racings’ #63 Lamborghini went fastest in the GTWC Europe Qualifying 2 in Valencia, gaining an important point for the championship
Ultimately, what began as a historic moment for Emil Frey Racing ended in disappointment. Looking forward, teams must now exercise greater caution under yellow flag conditions. Valencia’s fallout stands as a firm reminder that even the smallest error can have major consequences — not just for a race result, but for championship outcomes as well.
With the #63 Lamborghini now inheriting victory and the Silver Cup title already decided, the pressure on the remaining contenders intensifies. Qualifying 2 and the final race will settle the Sprint Cup crown and test which teams can keep their composure.
Track-limit violations and late lap times

Drivers could have waited in the garage, but the Silver Cup cars attacked early to avoid Bronze traffic. Dmitry Gvazava set the pace with a 1:33.042. Soon, others followed with their own fast laps. Yet, despite the early push from Silver, the Bronze Cup cars struck back quickly and stole the top spots.
With two minutes left, five drivers still had no valid lap after losing times to track-limit violations. When the chequered flag fell, car #10 grabbed provisional overall pole and Silver Cup pole. The #21 Aston Martin followed, with the #97 Porsche close behind. In Bronze Cup, the #991 BMW claimed pole in the Bronze cup, finishing P10 overall in the first GTWC Europe qualifying session at Valencia.
Q2 B – Gold and Pro
