Last year, Rodin Motorsport finished seventh in the Teams’ Standings with 155 points. This year, they hope for redemption. With a new driver joining the line-up, Martinius Stenshorne steps up to F2 while Alex Dunne gears up for his second year with Rodin.
Rodin started on a high note but fell short
The 2025 season began on a high note for the team, and Dunne looked to be in the fight for the title early on. However, throughout the season, the team fell short. With several tough penalties and rookie mistakes, the team ended up further behind than they had hoped for.
Still, Rodin fought at the front of the pack plenty of times and was especially consistent in Qualifying. The team qualified in the top 10 in every round except the final showdown in Abu Dhabi. The Irishman grabbed two race victories during the season.
Dunne managed to secure eight podiums for the team last season, while then teammate, Amaury Cordeel, had a worse season. Dunne’s fifth-place finish in the Drivers’ Standings fails to show his impressive rookie campaign.
As Dunne scored 150 points in his rookie campaign, there is much promise for his second season. With one driver securing the majority of their points in 2025, it would be highly beneficial for the team to have two point-scoring racers in 2026.
Rodin Motorsport drivers aim for victory
While Rodin’s 2025 season was solid and the team had standout moments, it was not enough to challenge for the title. This time around, both drivers are aiming to fight for the Championship title. With both Stenshorne and Dunne already proving to be fast drivers, the team will hope for consistent points.
The 2026 season will be Stenshorne’s first full campaign in F2. His second season in F3 consisted of two victories and three podium finishes. The Norwegian driver took part in the final three rounds of the last season and in testing. The 20-year-old driver impressed as he secured points for Rodin during his team debut at the F2 Lusail Sprint. After finishing fifth in the Formula 3 Drivers’ Championship, the Norwegian is ready for his full season in F2.
If the team manages to minimise mistakes and incidents that hindered their 2025 season, this season could be theirs to win. With the driver duo aiming to fight at the front, Rodin hopes to take the leap to the title in the 2026 F2 season.
