Rutronik Racing announced the switch to Lamborghini from Porsche as their manufacturer after winning the Endurance Cup and finishing the 24h of Spa second, right behind a Lamborghini. The German team will run the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 for the whole 2026 GTWC Europe season. Though Rutronik Racing has yet to confirm the finale driver line-up, the multi-year partnership with Lamborghini sees a line-up completely formed out of Lamborghini factory drivers.

Graf thankful for the opportunity to work with the Italian marque after previous success with Porsche

Klaus Graf, Team Principal of Rutronik Racing, expressed his excitement to partner up with Lamborghini in 2026, entering a major step in for the team. Even tough, Graf looked back at their past achievements with fulfilment, especially when thinking about the title in the GTWC Europe Endurance Cup. Adding that, the team now needs to focus on achieving their goals together with the Italian Marque. Graf also explained that the team will be competing with the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 for multiple years, while expressing his gratitude to the manufacturer and the Rutronik Racing Team.

Lamborghini confident for success together with Rutronik Racing

Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer, Rouven Mohr, explained how the Temerario GT3 is going to have his debut year in GTWC Europe after 10 years of the Lamborghini Huracán. The Huracán was successful in the series with multiple titles, in both the Endurance and the Sprint cup, and it’s most recent win of the 24h of Spa this year. Mohr added that he is excited to compete with Rutronik Racing, strengthening Lamborghini’s competitiveness throughout the GTWC Europe field.

“The 2026 season marks the racing debut of the Temerario GT3 in a prestigious championship such as the GT World Challenge Europe. It is a series in which successive generations of the Huracán have been title contenders since 2015, and where Lamborghini has secured numerous titles across all categories, culminating in the recent victory at the 24 Hours of Spa.”
