Noah Strømsted‘s rookie season in FIA Formula 3 was a mix of highs and lows. There were moments where everything clicked and the Danish driver looked unstoppable, but there were also weekends where mistakes and inconsistencies cost him. Now, heading into his second year in F3 with TRIDENT, Strømsted’s taking all of his previous learning with him in 2026.

TRIDENT have built a recent reputation in Formula 3 that few can match. They have supported the last three champions, including Strømsted’s teammate Rafael Câmara last year.

Speaking in a press conference with Pit Debrief in attendance, Strømsted stated that seeing that first-hand was invaluable.

“Yeah, obviously, I was there last year as well when Rafa won the championship. And yeah, the team knows how to do it,” he replied. “I mean, they have won enough for three years in a row. So I’m quite confident going into the season that we’re going to be able to fight for the championship.”

What makes this season different isn’t just the lessons from last year. It’s the fact that Trident is still the same team, with the same people and the same approach that has delivered titles.

“And I think the team is just doing a very good job every weekend, every test. I mean, all the people are the same from the last year. So everything is very similar.”

His 2025 rookie season

The start to his rookie 2025 F3 season started strong. Strømsted demonstrated he could run with the frontrunners, but as the season progressed, the ups and downs started to creep in.

When asked by Pit Debrief about his mid-season struggles, the Danish driver was candid about losing momentum.

“Yeah, I think last year, the start of the season went quite well. But then I had a bit of issues in the middle of the season, a bit too much up and down from myself.”

Nevertheless, Strømsted had a spectactular rookie campaign. He finished just outside the top 5 in the championship with 83 points, which included a Sprint Race victory at Spa-Francorchamps.

It was a season that taught him a lot. Not just about himself as a driver, but also about how much experience matters in F3. Watching Câmara navigate a full championship campaign highlighted where Strømsted needed to improve: maintaining consistency on race weekends and managing the small details that can make a big difference over ten rounds.

“So yeah, it’s great to be here once again, one more year, more experience, which I needed last year, which I could see compared to Rafa was a big difference.”

After a rookie season of highs and lows, Strømsted returns to F3 with more experience, more knowledge, and a clearer understanding of what it takes to fight at the front with TRIDENT in 2026. The flashes of speed from 2025 showed his potential, but now it’s about consistency, focus, and turning those lessons into a championship victory.
