Tony D’Alberto and Adrian Deitz will once again join forces in the 2026 GT World Challenge Australia (GTWC) powered by AWS this year, with the experienced duo returning to Wall Racing for another campaign in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

The pair share a long-standing partnership that stretches across multiple national and international championships, most recently including appearances in GT World Challenge Australia and the Bathurst 12 Hour.

D’Alberto and Deitz continue long-standing partnership in 2026 GTWC Australia

D’Alberto and Deitz first began racing together in 2019. Since then, they have featured in almost every Bathurst 12 Hour and have competed part-time in GT World Challenge Australia since 2022. Throughout that time, they have consistently driven Lamborghini machinery.

Over the years, the duo has steadily improved their performance in the Australian GT scene. Their efforts have been particularly rewarded at the Bathurst 12 Hour, where they secured Silver class victories in both 2024 and 2025.

In addition, they achieved an impressive outright fifth-place finish in the 2022 running of the iconic endurance race. Earlier this year, the pair qualified sixth for the event before eventually finishing 15th outright after working alongside a Lamborghini factory driver to unlock additional performance from their Huracán.

Beyond their domestic campaigns, D’Alberto and Deitz have also gained valuable experience overseas.

Notably, the pair enjoyed success during a two-race stint in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Pro-Am class with D1 Racing Team. During that campaign, they secured a race victory and ultimately finished the season sixth overall.

They also stood on the Silver class podium at the Suzuka 10 Hour, further strengthening their international racing credentials.

D’Alberto and Deitz combine to bring strong racing backgrounds to 2026 GTWC Australia

Individually, D’Alberto has built an accomplished career across multiple racing disciplines over more than two decades.

He first rose to prominence in 2007 when he won Supercars’ Super2 Series in just his second season. Shortly afterwards, he stepped up to the main Supercars Championship. Although he enjoyed a full-time stint in the series, D’Alberto ultimately forged a particularly successful career as a co-driver. During that period, he secured Bathurst 1000 podium finishes in 2017 and again in 2023. Moreover, his decade-long association with Dick Johnson Racing has made him the longest-serving driver for the team during that time.

Outside of Supercars, D’Alberto was also one of the original competitors in TCR Australia and went on to claim the championship title in 2022. Alongside this success, he has regularly competed in GT racing, driving for Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG and Lamborghini, accumulating numerous race wins and podium finishes.

Meanwhile, Deitz has built most of his racing experience within Australian GT competition.

He made his debut in 2014 with Maranello Motorsport, where he spent three seasons driving a Ferrari 458 GT3. In 2017, he switched to Zagame Motorsport and the Lamborghini Huracán GT3, immediately making an impact by securing a podium in the GT endurance championship during his first campaign with the team.

Following his time with Zagame Motorsport, Deitz joined Wall Racing, where he has remained ever since. There, he linked up with team owner David Wall and D’Alberto, primarily competing in the Australian GT series and GT World Challenge Australia.

D’Alberto confident ahead of Phillip Island

Looking ahead to the new season, D’Alberto believes the team has strong momentum following their Bathurst performance.

“It’s always great to continue the relationship with a familiar team in wall racing, and Adrian and I have been driving together for many years now. As a group we’re getting stronger and stronger, and the Bathurst 12 Hour showed that with the speed we had in the car,” D’Alberto said.

“The result there has given everyone a lot of confidence heading into Phillip Island. We’re hopeful we can be competitive because the pace we showed proved the car is capable of running at the front if we get things right.”

“We also had some great support from Lamborghini, and having Marco Mapelli involved at Bathurst was a big help. He drives these cars all the time and was able to focus on some key areas to help us unlock more pace.

“That confidence runs through the whole team – the engineers, the mechanics, everyone involved – because we know the Lamborghini is capable of mixing it with the front of the field. There’s some really tough competition and strong driver combinations out there, but on our day there’s no reason why we can’t be right in the fight.

“And at the end of the day, who wouldn’t want to drive a Lamborghini GT3 around a track like Phillip Island?”

Deitz encouraged by team progress as he aims for success with D’Alberto in 2026 GTWC Australia campaign

Deitz echoed those sentiments, highlighting the progress the team has made with the Lamborghini Huracán package.

“I am excited to return to GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS in 2026 with Wall Racing and Tony D’Alberto – especially off the back of what we felt was a really successful Bathurst 12 Hour event,” Deitz said.

“First and foremost, working with both David and Tony is always a huge positive. David is a wealth of knowledge and runs a great outfit, while Tony and I have been driving together for a long time now, so we understand how each other works and how to get the most out of the car across a race weekend. He is a great teacher and a fantastic person to be around.

“We spent a lot of time in the middle of 2025 trying to understand how the European teams run their Huracáns. As a result, we made some big changes in the way we ran our car in the second half of 2025. After working with Marco Mapelli and one of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s senior engineers at Bathurst, that validated the direction we have taken and I have a lot more confidence behind the wheel.

“That weekend in Bathurst showed that the package is capable of being competitive, and it gave everyone in the team a lot of confidence in what the car can do when we put everything together. We’ve continued to learn more about it each time we get on track, which is really encouraging.

“The Pro-Am field is incredibly competitive, so I am looking forward to the challenge of building on the progress we’ve made and hopefully getting a podium or victory in the rounds that we attend.”

2026 GTWC Australia season begins at Phillip Island

D’Alberto and Deitz will begin their 2026 GTWC Australia powered by AWS campaign later this month at the LIQUI MOLY GT Festival Phillip Island.

With growing confidence in their Lamborghini Huracán GT3 package and several years of partnership behind them, the duo will aim to translate their recent progress into strong results in the highly competitive Pro-Am field.
