CUPRA KIRO confirmed Mark Turner as Operation Manager for the 12th season of Formula E. After announcing Gary Paffett as their Racing Director, the team is ready for a new era. While preparations for the next FE seasons are on the way, Turner is a new asset for the American team.

Turner adds a new milestone with CUPRA KIRO in Formula E

Turner has built his career across a wide range of championships. He most recently held the role of Sporting Manager at the British Automobile Racing Club. During his four-year spell, he coordinated some of the UK’s biggest events. Among them were the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the British Touring Car Championship, British Formula 4, Porsche Carrera Cup GB, and TCR UK. His oversight covered both historic gatherings and modern single-seater and touring car competitions.

Earlier in his career, Turner spent time within Formula E’s paddock. He managed the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, the official support series to the all-electric championship. That position gave him hands-on knowledge of the demands of a global race calendar. Before that, he directed the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup in Asia. He led the program for eight seasons, expanding its reach and cementing its place as a premier series. These roles highlighted his ability to deliver professional racing on an international stage.

CUPRA KIRO with clear ambitions for Formula E season 12

For CUPRA KIRO, his recruitment signals a clear intent. The squad impressed in its first Formula E campaign, scoring its first pole position, podium, and race victory. With those results in the books, the team turns its attention to long-term stability. Turner’s operational expertise promises to reinforce internal structures and boost consistency across the season.

His arrival follows the recent hiring of Gary Paffett as Racing Director. Paffett, a two-time DTM champion and former Formula E driver, added on-track knowledge and leadership from inside the cockpit. The combination of Paffett and Turner creates a leadership core that balances sporting insight with organisational strength.

CUPRA KIRO enters season 12 of Formula E with ambition, and the management changes underlines its determination to compete at the front. Turner’s appointment shows a focus on precision and preparation. His experience in running championships, handling complex schedules, and delivering results aligned with the demands of the world’s top electric racing series.

As Season 12 approaches, CUPRA KIRO positions itself to continue its rise. The addition of Turner strengthens the backbone of the team. With proven leadership now in place, the squad prepares to chase greater consistency, sharper execution, and new success on the global stage.
