Campos Racing brought their 2025 F3 campaign to a thrilling conclusion at the Italian GP in Monza, securing their first-ever Teams’ Championship with a dominant one-two finish in the Feature Race. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak crossed the line ahead of Nikola Tsolov, giving the Spanish outfit not only a perfect finale but also a defining moment in its history.
For Team Principal Adrián Campos Jr, the achievement went beyond statistics. It represented the fulfilment of years of effort, the resilience to overcome setbacks, and the continuation of a legacy left by his late father, team founder Adrián Campos. Speaking after the celebrations, Campos Jr was reflective, emotional, and immensely proud of what his team had achieved together.
Campos Jr proud of “amazing job” by team
Winning in motorsport often hinges on countless marginal gains – the right engineering calls, strong development pathways, and a culture where drivers and staff believe in each other. For Campos Racing, the 2025 F3 season provided a textbook example of how to build a winning organisation from the ground up.
“The team did an amazing job all year,” Campos Jr said, speaking after the season finale in Monza. “With all the pace we had in the beginning, since we put the car on track, the drivers were very happy. I think we took the right direction with the new car since the beginning, probably also helped by the experience we had from F2 because it’s a similar car. But the drivers, they delivered the results, even more than we expected in some cases, and this helped the whole team to end up where we ended up.”
Campos Jr highlighted the way trust and collaboration created an environment where performance could flourish. Engineers, mechanics, and drivers worked seamlessly together, each relying on the other to execute their role to perfection.
“We had an idea, and altogether the atmosphere inside the team was amazing, between drivers, teams, mechanics, and at the end when this happens, the results come. Everything was working well, the drivers were trusting the engineers, the mechanics and the other way around as well. We were always trusting the drivers, and when they feel this, they give a bit extra and I think this has been the case.”
From painful moments to Monza glory
The season was not without challenges. Austria proved particularly painful, where a difficult weekend cost the team a significant haul of points. Yet, according to Campos Jr, belief never wavered.
“We had the bad luck in Austria where we lost a big amount of points. But we never lost faith that even with the handicap we could end up fighting for the title until the last race and that’s what happened.”
The crowning moment – a one-two finish in the Feature Race at Monza – felt like destiny. For Campos Jr, there could have been no more fitting way to clinch the crown.
“I think there is no better way to win a team title than finishing the Feature Race one-two which is something we had never thought of in our mind.”
But alongside professional pride, there was personal emotion. Campos Jr reflected on how far the team had come since the passing of his father, and how much this title meant given the challenges they had faced in the years since.
“Looking back, if someone tells me that this was going to happen five years ago, when we were in a very difficult situation and suddenly my father passed away, I wouldn’t have believed it. So having said this I am even more happy and proud in the team. Also in those bad moments that we went through, everyone stayed together, worked hard and this is the result. I want them to enjoy it but also to motivate them to stay like this and then to go for it again next year.”
A standout campaign from Tsolov despite bad luck

At the heart of the success story were three drivers who each delivered consistently throughout the year: Nikola Tsolov, Mari Boya, and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak. Their performances ensured Campos Racing had one of the most complete line-ups on the grid, with all three finishing inside the top seven of the Drivers’ Championship.
“They have been amazing. I cannot say anything to Nikola because at the end, to be honest, I don’t know how far he finished from Câmara, but we lost a lot of points at the Red Bull Ring. So if that didn’t happen, that at the end was bad luck, a team responsibility but in my opinion, bad luck. Without this, I think we would have brought the Drivers’ Championship fight here to Monza, and that would have been nice. But I cannot complain, he is runner-up.”
Tsolov’s campaign was defined by consistency and maturity. Though he narrowly missed out on challenging for the Drivers’ title, his runner-up finish underlined his development and resilience.
A breakthrough season for Boya
For Boya, meanwhile, 2025 represented a breakthrough season. After two disappointing campaigns, the Spanish driver, now a member of the newly-formed Aston Martin Aramco Driver Academy, emerged a strong championship contender, taking the battle for P2 down to the wire after showing significant improving in Qualifying.
“Mari, he also did great. He did a big step from last year. As I have said in other interviews, Mari has been extremely quick but he had to deliver when it mattered. Sometimes no one was faster than him in Free Practice and testing but in Qualifying there was always something going on. Now, he has made that step, he did good in Qualifying and when he did that, he did good results in the races.”
“That was the big difference for him, and I happy for both of them, finishing in the top three.”
Strong potential from Inthraphuvasak
Inthraphuvasak, meanwhile, had a 2025 F3 season marked by highs and lows. Yet when the opportunity presented itself, he seized it in spectacular fashion – none more so than at Monza.
“As for Tas, a bit more up and down in some races, but when things were going well, the potential for Tas was very, very big, extremely big. On paper, seeing his results from last year, to be honest we were expecting very good results from him, because we thought we could help him a lot. But winning a Feature Race, like he did today, we thought ‘Okay that would be good but that would also be difficult’ but he did it.”
“So very proud of all three,” Campos Jr concluded.
The collective strength of the driver line-up ensured Campos Racing always had points-scoring potential, regardless of circumstance. Their blend of raw speed, growing maturity, and resilience played a vital role in the team’s championship campaign.
The strength of a great team

Success in F3 is never down to drivers alone. Behind the scenes, engineers, strategists, mechanics, and team management work tirelessly to deliver competitive machinery and race-winning strategies. Campos Jr acknowledged that his biggest responsibility was not to control every detail, but to empower people in the right roles.
“From my side, I am happy with the decisions I took, and I am extremely happy with the team and every team member that followed this. They understood what was best for the team. At the end, no one can do everything perfectly. There are people who are experienced with one thing and others experienced in others. So for me, the key has been to understand this, understand what positions they are better and try to maximise that by giving them the responsibility that they can control.”
That philosophy has underpinned Campos’ evolution over the past five years. By creating an environment where individuals could excel in their areas of expertise, Campos Racing steadily built the platform that now supports a championship-winning operation.
“This has been the key to the evolution of the team in the last five years. Now the difficult part is coming, which is staying at the top. It’s always very difficult, but we will do our best and then try to be one of the references in both F2 and F3.”
Looking ahead after a milestone season
The celebrations at Monza marked the conclusion of a milestone chapter in Campos Racing’s history, but attention will soon turn to the future. Retaining their place at the summit of F3 will be no easy task, particularly as rivals regroup over the winter and aim to dethrone them. Yet with a proven structure, a philosophy rooted in trust and collaboration, and a talented group of drivers, the Spanish team has every reason to believe their success can continue.
For Adrián Campos Jr, this first F3 Teams’ title claimed after a fierce fight at the 2025 Italian GP in Monza, is a moment to savour but also a reminder of the importance of perseverance, unity, and ambition. From the depths of grief and uncertainty five years ago to the top step of the championship, Campos Racing’s story is one of resilience rewarded.
Monza will forever stand as the place where their journey reached a glorious high point – a one-two finish that symbolised not just sporting excellence but also the enduring strength of a team determined to honour its past while building an even brighter future.
