Polish motorsport representation in the Euroformula Open will continue into 2026, as Wiktor Dobrzański joins Motopark. Following the success of 2025 champion Tymek Kucharczyk, the 19-year-old steps in to carry the national flag forward, marking the beginning of a promising new era.
With the signing of Dobrzański, Motopark finalises its driver roster for the upcoming season. He will compete behind the wheel of a Tom’s-powered Dallara 324, a package that has proven competitive in the series.
Moreover, the move highlights Motopark’s continued commitment to nurturing emerging talent. By bringing in a young driver with strong potential, the team reinforces its reputation for developing future stars.
From rally roots to single-seaters
Hailing from Kraków, Dobrzański grew up in a family deeply connected to rallying. However, instead of following that path, he chose circuit racing and quickly built experience in categories such as Formula 4 across Spain, Italy, and the CEZ championship, as well as Eurocup 3.
Consequently, his transition to Euroformula Open represents a significant step up. Despite entering single-seater racing relatively recently, he has already demonstrated adaptability and determination.
Dobrzański and Motopark united by ambition for 2026 Euroformula Open challenge
Dobrzański expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity and the road ahead. He said: “I am very happy to join a team with such a tradition as Motopark. I feel that this is an important step in my career, I believe that together with the team we will be able to make a big progress”.
At the same time, Motopark’s Team Manager Roland Rehfeld outlined the reasoning behind the signing and the long-term vision: “Coming from a family with rallye background, Wiktor started 2024 with Formula 4 and EuroCup3 in 2025. Seeing his determination and high work ethic, we decided to sign Wiktor for a two years driver development program. He is compensating his relatively late entry into single-seater racing with relentless ambitious work in the simulator and being very analytic. It’s a good base from which to learn also the more intuitive aspect of driving and become an advanced rookie in the Euroformula”.
Importantly, this agreement is not just for a single season. Motopark has committed to a two-year driver development programme, giving Dobrzański the time and structure needed to refine his skills.
Furthermore, his analytical approach and dedication to simulator work provide a strong foundation. As a result, the team believes he can quickly evolve into a competitive force in the championship.
Continuing a national legacy
With Kucharczyk setting a high benchmark as champion, expectations will naturally follow Dobrzański into the 2026 season. Nevertheless, his journey represents more than results alone—it symbolises continuity for Polish drivers in the series.
Ultimately, as he embarks on this new challenge, Dobrzański has the opportunity not only to develop his own career but also to extend Poland’s growing presence in international single-seater racing.
