Xcel Motorsport has confirmed Lucas Fluxa as part of its line-up for the 2026 GB3 Championship. As a result, the Spanish driver prepares for his second season in the category with a new team and renewed ambition.
Rapid progress through the junior ranks
Fluxa stepped up to GB3 in 2025 following a successful Formula 4 campaign in Spain, where he established himself as a race winner. Consequently, he entered GB3 with strong momentum and quickly adapted to the higher level of competition.
During his rookie season, Fluxa delivered consistent performances and steadily climbed the standings. A late-season surge proved decisive, as he secured a breakthrough victory at Donington Park and finished eighth overall. In addition, he regularly challenged inside the top six, underlining his growing confidence and pace.

Fluxa expressed his enthusiasm about joining Xcel Motorsport and building on his experience. “I’m really excited to be joining Xcel Motorsport for the 2026 GB3 Championship. The team has shown great potential, and I’m looking forward to working closely with everyone to build on my experience I gained last year in this Championship and push for strong results.”
Meanwhile, Gary Bonnor, Team Manager at Xcel Motorsport, highlighted the importance of adding an experienced second-year driver. “It’s fantastic to complete our 2026 line-up with Lucas. Having an experienced second-year driver is incredibly valuable, and he will bring solid experience and knowledge to the team. We’re looking forward to seeing how he integrates and contributes to our progress this season.”
Looking ahead, Fluxa enters the 2026 GB3 season with valuable experience and a proven ability to deliver strong results. Therefore, his move to Xcel Motorsport presents an opportunity to build on last year’s breakthrough moments and challenge more consistently at the front of the field.
