Torrin Byrne will remain with his family-run Pace Performance team as he prepares for his GB4 debut this season. After two years in Ginetta Juniors, Byrne now takes a significant step forward into single-seater racing. This move reflects both his steady development and the team’s long-term confidence in his potential.
At just 17 years old, Byrne has already built a solid foundation in junior competition. Now, he aims to translate that experience into success in a highly competitive GB4 field.
Strong growth in Ginetta Juniors
Byrne showed clear progress during his second Ginetta Junior campaign. He secured ninth place overall, while also achieving two podium finishes and three pole positions. These results marked a notable improvement compared to his debut season.
Importantly, Byrne made an immediate impact early in the year. He claimed his first podium with third place in the second race at Donington Park. Later in the summer, he added another third-place finish at Snetterton, reinforcing his consistency.
Building on his regular-season performances, Byrne carried strong momentum into the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Silverstone. He opened the event with an impressive second-place finish and maintained his form throughout the competition.
As a result, he narrowly missed out on the title by just one point, ultimately finishing second overall. This close result highlighted both his competitiveness and his ability to challenge at the front.
Preparing for GB4 campaign
Now, Byrne turns his attention to GB4, where he will compete in Tatuus MSV GB4-025 machinery. Encouragingly, he has already completed several test days in the car, gaining valuable experience ahead of the season.
Speaking about the upcoming challenge, Byrne said: “I am really looking forward to the GB4 season ahead. We have already done a good number of days in the car. I look forward to building on what I have learnt in Ginetta Juniors and look forward to the season ahead.”
Team principal Sean Byrne believes the transition represents a logical next step. He emphasised the driver’s steady improvement and expects further growth in the coming season.
He said: “After two years in Ginetta Juniors, it was a natural move for Torrin to move up to single-seaters in GB4 next year. He has developed strongly across those two seasons, and that development will continue with us in 2026. It’s going to be an extremely competitive season next year with a big grid, but we have confidence that Torrin can be a match for his rivals as the year goes on.”
With strong preparation behind him and continued support from his family team, Byrne enters GB4 with optimism. Although the competition will intensify, his recent performances suggest he has the pace and determination to adapt quickly.
As the season unfolds, Byrne will aim to build on his junior success and establish himself in single-seater racing.
