As reported by Sportscar365, Louis Delétraz will join the Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA line-up for the upcoming 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) round at Spa, stepping in for Alex Lynn. The British driver continues to recover from neck treatment, which has ruled him out of the Belgian event scheduled for 9 May.

As a result, Delétraz will make his first appearance for the team, bringing valuable Cadillac prototype experience to the grid.

2026 Spa round to be first WEC start for Delétraz since title season

Delétraz has raced a Cadillac V-Series.R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Wayne Taylor Racing over the past two seasons, where he secured a best result of second place. However, this outing at Spa will mark his first WEC race outside of his one-off 24 Hours of Le Mans appearances since 2023.

That year, he claimed the LMP2 title with Team WRT, underlining his endurance racing credentials. Therefore, his inclusion strengthens the Hertz Team JOTA squad for a crucial round of the championship.

This year, at Spa, Delétraz will share the No. 12 Cadillac with Will Stevens and Norman Nato. Notably, the team returns to a three-driver configuration after running a reduced line-up at the Imola season opener due to Lynn’s absence.

Lynn targets Le Mans return

Meanwhile, Lynn is expected to return to competition in time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. Delétraz, however, already has plans for that event, as he is set to drive the AO by TF Oreca 07 Gibson.

Nevertheless, speculation continues regarding Lynn’s long-term future, with links to a potential McLaren move in 2027. Consequently, there remains a possibility that Delétraz could play a further role with Cadillac beyond Spa, depending on how circumstances evolve.

Full strength for sister car

In addition, the sister No. 38 Cadillac will also revert to a three-driver line-up at Spa. Jack Aitken is set to rejoin Sebastien Bourdais and Earl Bamber after missing the Imola round due to a clash with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

This restoration of both entries to full driver rosters signals a more stable and competitive presence for Cadillac in Belgium.
