Qualifying for round 6 of the 2026 IndyCar season at the Indy GP has been completed, view the full results below.
Having originally meant to take place on Friday evening, qualifying was pushed back to Saturday morning as heavy rain arrived at IMS yesterday.
Alex Palou went into a dry qualifying session as favourite as he was fastest in Practice 1 and Practice 2 before the weather turned on Friday.

Round 1, Group 1
Andretti driver and championship contender Kyle Kirkwood led the way in Group 1, beating Scott Dixon by less than a hundreth. Pato O’Ward, who was absolutely nowhere on pace yesterday, found a significant improvement to end up P3, three hundreths away from the #27. Rahal, Newgarden and Collet also advanced.
Alex Rossi missed out by a thousand, with Ferrucci, McLaughlin, Rasmussen, VeeKay and Robb also got bumped.

Round 1, Group 2
With the track ramping up as rubber went down, Group 2 was fast. Alex Palou did a 1:09.912 to be fastest, over a tenth clear of David Malukas. Rosenqvist, Foster, Grosjean and Lundgaard also advanced. Marcus Ericsson missed out by half a tenth.
Joining the Swede in getting knocked out were Siegel, Schumacher, Armstrong, Simpson, Hauger and Power.

Fast 12
Once more, Alex Palou paced the field. A stunning 1:09.780 was almost 0.3s clear of Pato O’Ward, with his teammate Christian Lundgaard backing up the Mexican in P3. Rosenqvist, Foster and Malukas also advanced.
Rahal, Dixon, Kirkwood, Newgarden, Grosjean and Collet got knocked out.

Once again, the four-time champion demolished the field. A 1:09.748 gave Palou pole by half a second. O’Ward joins him on the front row, with Rosenqvist, Lundgaard, Malukas and Foster completing the order.
