Andretti Formula E and Porsche Motorsport will conclude their successful Formula E partnership at the end of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season, bringing one of the series’ most productive alliances to a close.
The announcement arrives ahead of the 2026 Monaco E-Prix and signals the end of the collaboration just before Formula E enters its highly anticipated GEN4 era in the 2026/27 season. The move will leave both organisations preparing for a new direction as the championship introduces a fresh generation of technology and competition.
A partnership built on success
Andretti began operating the Porsche 99X Electric at the start of Season 9, immediately establishing itself as a front-running customer team. The partnership quickly produced strong results, including race victories, podium finishes and a Drivers’ World Championship title.
The alliance also played a major role in Porsche’s wider Formula E success. Andretti contributed valuable championship points and technical feedback throughout the GEN3 era, helping Porsche secure the Season 11 Manufacturers’ World Championship crown.
Over the course of the collaboration, Andretti and Porsche Motorsport achieved four race wins, 19 podium finishes, 15 fastest laps and 630 championship points. Their combined performances consistently placed Porsche among the leading manufacturers in Formula E.
Four wins, four pole positions, 19 podiums, 176 laps led, 14 fastest laps and 630 championship points (and counting!)…

A relationship beyond Formula E
The connection between Andretti and Porsche stretches back more than four decades. The partnership first began in 1983, when Mario and Michael Andretti raced a Porsche 956 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
That relationship continued through various motorsport projects over the years, making the Formula E programme another important chapter in a long-standing racing alliance. Both organisations often highlighted the strength of their shared heritage and competitive mindset throughout their time together in the all-electric championship.
The end of an era
In May 2024, Andretti Global announced an extension of its partnership with Porsche Motorsport, securing the use of the Porsche 99X Electric through Season 12 and reinforcing both organisations’ commitment to continued success in Formula E. At the time, the alliance stood as one of the championship’s strongest collaborations, built on race victories, and podium finishes.
Now, with Formula E preparing to enter the new GEN4 era in 2026/27, the partnership will come to an end. Even so, Andretti and Porsche Motorsport leave behind a legacy of championship success, technical innovation and competitive excellence that helped shape and elevate the GEN3 era of Formula E.
