The 2026 GT World Challenge (GTWC) America powered by AWS season reached its third round at Sebring International Raceway, where late drama, strategy calls, and mechanical heartbreak changed the championship picture once again.

JMF Motorsports continues to lead the Pro standings after another strong weekend from Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier. However, Turner Motorsport has closed the gap after Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley capitalised on JMF’s late race trouble to take overall and Pro victory at Sebring.

Meanwhile, GMG Racing has strengthened its position in Pro-Am, AF Corse USA has maintained control in Am, and the Manufacturers’ Championship remains extremely tight, with Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, BMW M, and Ferrari all separated by only eight points.

In the Pro category, Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier remain at the top of the Drivers’ Championship with 60 points. JMF Motorsports once again showed strong pace at Sebring, securing its third consecutive overall pole position of the season.

However, the race result changed dramatically in the final hour. JMF looked set to convert pole into victory before mechanical trouble forced Grenier to slow and stop on track. That issue opened the door for Turner Motorsport, and Robby Foley took full advantage.

Foley and Justin Rothberg now sit second in the standings with 55 points, only five behind Stephens and Grenier. Their Sebring victory has therefore turned the Pro title battle into a much closer fight.

Frederik Schandorff and Matias Perez Companc hold third with 45 points for AF Corse USA, while Alex Sedgwick and Cameron Lawrence remain close behind on 43 after another strong run for Dollahite Racing. Michael McCann Jr. and Zachary Vanier complete the top five with 37 points.

The Pro-Am category remains one of the most competitive classes in GTWC America. Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent lead the Drivers’ Championship with 62 points after another strong result for GMG Racing.

Sargent played a central role in the Sebring race after producing strong pace and fighting through a chaotic final phase. Although TR3 Racing crossed the line first on the road, a post-race penalty changed the class result. Consequently, GMG Racing inherited the Pro-Am victory, while RS1 and JMF Motorsports also gained from the reshuffled order.

Dave Musial Jr. and Ryan Yardley sit second in the Drivers’ Championship with 55 points, keeping Wright Motorsports within reach of the class lead. Jan Heylen and JP Martinez hold third with 48 points after another strong weekend for RS1.

Further back, Therese Lahlouh and Thomas Merrill sit fourth on 32 points, while Ricardo Agostini and Sebastian Mascaro have moved into fifth with 18. Jason Daskalos and Lorcan Hanafin follow closely on 17 points, just ahead of Andy Lee and Slade Stewart on 16.

In the Teams’ Championship, GMG Racing leads with 65 points. Wright Motorsports follows on 55, while RS1 sits third with 51. Kellymoss, JMF Motorsports, and Triarsi Competizione remain within the midfield battle, while Riley Technologies and Random Vandals Racing continue to stay in contention.

Championship momentum shifts again before Road Atlanta

After Round 3 at Sebring, the GTWC America championship picture remains finely balanced. JMF Motorsports still leads the Pro standings, but Turner Motorsport has cut the gap to just five points after its breakthrough victory.

In Pro-Am, GMG Racing continues to build momentum, although Wright Motorsports and RS1 remain close enough to keep the pressure high. Meanwhile, AF Corse USA has created a commanding lead in Am, with Schreibman and Negri maintaining their perfect start to the season.

Sebring once again showed how quickly endurance racing can change. JMF Motorsports had the pace to win, but Turner Motorsport had the consistency and execution to take full advantage when trouble struck. As the championship heads to Road Atlanta from 12–14 June 2026, strategy, reliability, and late-race discipline will continue to shape the title battles across every class.
