Nikita Bedrin remains in control of the 2026 GB3 Championship standings after a weather-affected second round at Spa-Francorchamps, but Rodin Motorsport has transformed the Teams’ Championship battle with a standout weekend in Belgium.

The Spa round was reduced to two races after the final contest was abandoned due to severe weather, making each classified result even more important. Across the two races that did take place, Bedrin, Abbi Pulling and Rodin Motorsport emerged as the biggest storylines.

Pulling made history with a faultless Race 1 victory, becoming the first female driver to win in GB3. Bedrin then responded in Race 2, converting pole position into his third victory of the season and extending his Drivers’ Championship lead to 27 points.

Consequently, the Drivers’ Championship standings now show Bedrin clear at the top, while Rodin’s strength in depth has created a tie at the head of the Teams’ Championship standings.

Drivers’ Championship: Bedrin extends advantage despite Pulling breakthrough

Bedrin arrived at Spa as the championship leader and left Belgium in an even stronger position. After taking second behind Pulling in Race 1, the VRD Racing driver delivered a controlled Race 2 win from pole, adding to his Silverstone double and moving to 140 points.

His nearest rival remains Maxim Rehm, who now sits second on 113 points. However, Rehm’s weekend was shaped by recovery as much as pace. Although he initially finished on the Race 1 podium, a post-race penalty dropped him to sixth after the stewards judged that he caused a collision with Deagen Fairclough.

Nevertheless, Rehm responded well on Sunday, taking second behind Bedrin in Race 2. As a result, he remains firmly in the title fight, though Bedrin’s advantage has grown.

Molnar and Pulling lead Rodin’s charge

While Bedrin strengthened his individual lead, Rodin Motorsport arguably enjoyed the strongest collective weekend. Martin Molnar climbed from ninth to fourth in the standings after finishing third in both races, once Rehm’s Race 1 penalty promoted him onto the podium.

That consistency has lifted Molnar to 81 points, placing him just ahead of Lucas Fluxá, who sits fifth on 79. Fluxá remains Xcel Motorsport’s leading driver after finishing fifth in Race 1 and eighth in Race 2.

Pulling, meanwhile, produced the defining moment of the Spa weekend. After taking her maiden GB3 pole on Friday, she converted it into a historic victory in Race 1. She then added fifth in Race 2, completing her best GB3 weekend so far and rising to sixth in the Drivers’ Championship on 63 points.

Her move up the standings is significant. Having been 20th after the Silverstone opener, Pulling is now firmly inside the top ten and has given herself a platform to build from heading into the summer stretch of the season.

Mixed weekends shape the chasing pack

Behind Pulling, Patricio Gonzalez sits seventh on 57 points after recovering from a Race 1 retirement with sixth in Race 2. Rowan Campbell-Pilling follows on 54 points, while Rodrigo Gonzalez is ninth on 51.

Flynn Jackes completes the top ten on 49 points. His Spa weekend ended with a strong recovery drive in Race 2, climbing from 22nd on the grid to 11th after failing to set a time in Qualifying 2.

Further back, several drivers endured weekends that did not fully reflect their pace. Fairclough showed strong speed throughout testing and qualifying, including second overall in Friday Practice, but his Race 1 retirement limited his points return. He recovered to fourth in Race 2 and now sits 11th overall on 42 points.

Kyuho Lee also lost ground after a Race 1 DNF and a 19th-place finish in Race 2. After sitting seventh following Silverstone, he has slipped to 12th with 41 points.

Teams’ Championship: Rodin Motorsport draws level with VRD Racing

The Teams’ Championship has tightened dramatically after Spa. VRD Racing had led after Silverstone, but Rodin Motorsport’s depth across its three-driver line-up has now brought it level at the top.

Rodin and VRD Racing both sit on 217 points after the second round, creating a tie at the head of the standings. Rodin’s Spa score was built on Pulling’s victory, Molnar’s double podium, and Rehm’s Race 2 second place. VRD, meanwhile, relied heavily on Bedrin’s Race 2 win and second place in Race 1, with Patricio Gonzalez also adding useful points in Race 2.

That tie sets up an intriguing dynamic heading into Hungary. VRD has the Drivers’ Championship leader, but Rodin appears to have the broader scoring strength across its line-up.

Hitech holds third as Xcel and Elite remain in pursuit

Hitech remains third in the Teams’ Championship standings on 158 points. Nakamura’s consistency and Fairclough’s Race 2 recovery kept the team comfortably ahead of the midfield, although Fairclough’s Race 1 retirement prevented a bigger haul.

Xcel Motorsport sits fourth on 135 points, led by Fluxá and Campbell-Pilling. However, Race 1 retirements for Campbell-Pilling and Ricardo Baptista limited its Spa total.

Elite Motorsport follows in fifth with 117 points, helped by Kirill Kutskov’s double points finish and Jackes’ recovery drive in Race 2. Arden Motorsport, Fortec Motorsports, Hillspeed and Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing complete the table.

Conclusion: Bedrin leads, but Rodin changes the picture

Spa-Francorchamps underlined two key themes in the 2026 GB3 Championship. Bedrin remains the driver to beat, with three wins from five completed races and a 27-point lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship. At the same time, Rodin Motorsport’s collective strength has changed the complexion of the Teams’ Championship.

Pulling’s historic breakthrough, Molnar’s double podium and Rehm’s Race 2 response ensured Rodin left Belgium level with VRD Racing. Therefore, while Bedrin has built a clear cushion in the Drivers’ Championship, the fight between Rodin and VRD is now finely balanced.

The championship resumes at the Hungaroring on 4/5 July, where both title fights will continue with momentum split between Bedrin’s individual dominance and Rodin’s growing team-wide threat.
