GTWC America powered by AWS returns to action from 12–14 June as the field heads to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for Round 4 of the 2026 season. After a busy opening stretch at Sonoma Raceway, Circuit of The Americas and Sebring International Raceway, the championship now reaches a crucial midpoint in Georgia.
Moreover, the weekend carries extra significance for SRO America. The organisation returns to Road Atlanta for the first time since 2011, while all six SRO America championships come together at one of the most celebrated venues in North American motorsport. As a result, the event gives teams, drivers and fans one of the biggest weekends of the year.
Road Atlanta adds fresh pressure to the title picture
Road Atlanta should quickly test the GTWC America field. The circuit rewards commitment, precision and confidence, while its fast corners and elevation changes leave little room for hesitation. Therefore, teams must combine outright pace with discipline across practice, Qualifying and the race.
The weekend also arrives at an important moment in the Global Manufacturer Championship. Mercedes-AMG has moved back ahead of Porsche, with the two marques separated by only seven points. Mercedes-AMG leads with 419 points, while Porsche follows closely on 412.
Consequently, Road Atlanta could shift momentum again before manufacturers turn their focus to the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa later in June. Every class result now carries added weight, especially with several brands capable of influencing the wider standings.
Aston Martin continues its learning curve
Rebel Rock Racing continues its GTWC America programme with Robin Liddell and Frank Depew in the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO. Since joining the series earlier this season, the team has worked to build experience in a deep and competitive Pro-Am field.
Road Atlanta gives the team another valuable opportunity to understand the car across high-speed sections, elevation changes and heavy traffic. Furthermore, Liddell’s experience should help the programme continue its steady development as the season moves into its second half.

BMW carries winning momentum into Georgia
BMW arrives at Road Atlanta with confidence after Turner Motorsport’s breakthrough victory at Sebring. Justin Rothberg and Robby Foley delivered the team’s first overall win since its move into Pro competition, underlining the strength of the No. 29 BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
Rothberg and Foley already have two Pro-Am titles to their names. However, their 2026 campaign now focuses on proving they can fight consistently at the front of the Pro class. After Sebring, they have every reason to believe they can do exactly that.
In addition, Riley Motorsports and Random Vandals Racing give BMW further depth in Pro-Am. Therefore, the manufacturer enters Road Atlanta with multiple chances to score strongly.

Ferrari targets consistency across Pro and Am
Ferrari heads to Road Atlanta after another productive weekend at Sebring. Matías Pérez Companc and Frederik Schandorff showed strong pace in the Pro class and added another podium to their campaign. As a result, the No. 12 AF Corse USA entry remains firmly involved in the championship fight.
Meanwhile, AF Corse USA continues to set a strong standard in Am. The No. 163 Ferrari claimed another class victory in Florida, and Jay Schreibman now returns alongside Benny Simonsen for the Road Atlanta weekend.
Ferrari has shown speed across multiple classes this season. However, the manufacturer now needs another clean weekend to keep pressure on its rivals and strengthen its position before the campaign enters its later rounds.

Ford seeks breakthrough after Sebring fightback
Dollahite Racing arrives at Road Atlanta after one of the most determined performances of the season. At Sebring, the team suffered a brake-related crash during practice and faced extensive overnight repairs. Nevertheless, Cameron Lawrence and Alex Sedgwick rebounded superbly and finished second in the race.
That result showed both the pace and resilience of the Ford Mustang GT3 EVO programme. Lawrence and Sedgwick have already looked capable of fighting at the front, and Road Atlanta now gives them another chance to turn speed into victory.
The team will need a cleaner weekend this time. However, if Dollahite Racing executes strongly from practice through Qualifying and the race, it should remain a serious Pro contender.
Entry
- No. 6 Dollahite Racing Ford Mustang GT3 EVO — Cameron Lawrence / Alex Sedgwick — Pro
McLaren aims to rebound with Archangel Motorsports
Archangel Motorsports heads to Road Atlanta looking for a response after a frustrating Sebring weekend. Todd Coleman and Aaron Telitz showed strong pace in the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO, but a mechanical issue ended their race early.
Even so, the pairing remains one of the regular threats in Pro-Am. Telitz brings sharp race pace, while Coleman has shown the consistency needed to compete in a crowded class. Therefore, Road Atlanta offers a timely chance to convert potential into a stronger result.
With Pro-Am margins so tight, Archangel Motorsports must avoid setbacks and maximise every session. If the team does that, the McLaren should feature in the class fight.
Entry

Mercedes-AMG enters with unfinished business
Mercedes-AMG arrives at Road Atlanta with the Global Manufacturer Championship lead, but the brand also carries frustration from Sebring. The No. 34 JMF Motorsports entry looked set to challenge for another Pro victory before mechanical problems forced Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier out late in the race.
That retirement cost the team a likely major result. Therefore, Stephens and Grenier will want an immediate response in Georgia as they continue their Pro title push.
At the same time, JMF Motorsports’ Pro-Am programme gained momentum at Sebring with its first podium of the season. This weekend, Jason Daskalos shares the No. 27 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO with Mercedes-AMG factory driver Philip Ellis, who replaces Lorcan Hanafin for the event.
TR3 Racing also strengthens the Mercedes-AMG line-up with Brayton Williams and Daniel Morad in Pro-Am. As a result, the marque has strong representation across both Pro and Pro-Am as it tries to protect its narrow manufacturer lead.

- No. 27 JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO — Jason Daskalos / Philip Ellis — Pro-Am

Porsche brings strength in numbers
Porsche arrives at Road Atlanta with the largest presence in the GTWC America field. Although Mercedes-AMG has moved ahead in the Global Manufacturer Championship, Porsche remains only seven points behind and has several strong entries capable of delivering a response.
GMG Racing leads the Pro-Am charge after Kyle Washington and Tom Sargent claimed victory at Sebring. Their spirited drive extended their championship lead and confirmed the No. 32 Porsche 911 GT3-R as one of the key cars to beat.
Meanwhile, RS1 has built one of the most consistent campaigns in the class. JP Martinez and Jan Heylen have scored three consecutive Pro-Am podiums, but they will now want to convert that consistency into a race win.
Porsche also has support from McCann Racing, Kellymoss and Wright Motorsports. Therefore, the marque enters Road Atlanta with several routes to success and a strong chance to regain ground in the manufacturer battle.
Entries
- No. 8 McCann Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R (992) EVO — Michael McCann Jr. / Zachary Vanier — Pro
- No. 13 Kellymoss Porsche 911 GT3-R (992) EVO — Todd Parriott / Riley Dickinson — Pro-Am

Road Atlanta could reshape the season
As GTWC America reaches Round 4, Road Atlanta has the potential to define the next phase of the championship. BMW wants to prove its Sebring victory marked the start of a sustained Pro challenge. Ferrari needs another composed weekend across Pro and Am. Ford and McLaren both seek redemption after mixed fortunes, while Aston Martin continues to build its GT3 programme.
However, the Mercedes-AMG and Porsche battle sits at the centre of the weekend. With only seven points between them in the Global Manufacturer Championship, every position could matter before the wider GT World Challenge focus shifts to Spa.
Qualifying and race action will stream live through SRO RaceControl powered by Vbrick, the GTWorld YouTube channel and SRO Motorsports Twitch. Fans can also follow live timing through GTWC America’s official platforms, while one-hour highlights will air on FS1.
