Gabriele Minì retained the lead of the 2026 F2 Drivers’ Championship following the Barcelona Feature Race, while Nikola Tsolov remains his nearest challenger despite a post-race penalty dropping him from second to fourth.
Rafael Câmara secured his maiden F2 victory after making an alternative strategy work for Invicta Racing. Alex Dunne and Minì were promoted to second and third, respectively, following Tsolov’s five-second penalty, helping both drivers strengthen their positions in the Championship.
Minì maintains the Championship lead
Minì entered the Feature Race leading Tsolov by three points after finishing third in Saturday’s Sprint Race.
Starting from third, the MP Motorsport driver remained among the leading group throughout the Feature Race. Although Tsolov passed him on track during the closing stages, the Campos Racing driver was later penalised five seconds for overtaking Minì off the circuit and gaining a lasting advantage.
The penalty promoted Minì from fourth on the road to third in the final classification. He therefore collected 15 points and increased his Championship total from 71 to 86.
Minì leaves Barcelona with a six-point advantage over Tsolov. His lead has increased from the single point he held before the weekend, although the Italian remains without a race victory since the opening Feature Race of the season.
Tsolov’s penalty limits his recovery drive
Tsolov initially produced an impressive recovery to finish second on the road. The Campos Racing driver started fifth and ran the alternative strategy, beginning the race on the harder compound before switching to the Soft tyres for the closing stages. His tyre advantage allowed him to move through the leading group late in the race.
Tsolov overtook Minì and Dunne as he charged into second place behind Câmara. However, the stewards determined that he had passed Minì off the track and gained a lasting advantage. A five-second penalty consequently dropped him behind both Dunne and Minì to fourth.
Fourth place provided Tsolov with 12 points, taking him from 68 to 80. He remains second in the Championship but now trails Minì by six points.
Despite the penalty, Tsolov completed another strong points-scoring weekend. His second place in the Sprint Race and fourth in the Feature Race produced 18 points across the two races.
Câmara climbs to third after maiden F2 victory in Barcelona
Câmara was the largest mover among the leading Championship contenders after converting pole position into his first F2 victory. The Brazilian lost the lead to Dunne at the start but extended his opening stint rather than immediately following the conventional strategy. After making his mandatory stop, Câmara used his fresher tyres to move back through the field and regain the lead.
He ultimately finished ahead of Dunne, Minì and the penalised Tsolov. The victory earned Câmara 25 points, while the two points for pole position took his Feature Race contribution to 27.
Câmara increased his total from 42 to 69 points and climbed four positions from seventh to third in the standings. He is now 17 points behind Championship leader Minì and two ahead of Dunne.
The result also continued Câmara’s strong qualifying form. He has now claimed consecutive pole positions and has converted his latest front-row start into a first victory at F2 level.
Dunne moves into fourth with second place
Dunne led the early stages after making a better start than pole-sitter Câmara.
The Rodin Motorsport driver controlled the opening phase before completing his mandatory stop. However, he could not prevent Câmara from retaking the lead once the Invicta driver’s alternative strategy began to pay off.
Dunne crossed the line third after also being overtaken by Tsolov. The five-second penalty handed to the Bulgarian subsequently promoted him to second in the final classification.
The result supplied Dunne with 18 points, increasing his total from 49 to 67. He remains fourth in the Championship but moved ahead of Noel León and Martinius Stenshorne, who had both been above Câmara before the Feature Race.
Dunne sits two points behind Câmara and 19 behind Minì.
León and Beganovic remain closely matched in 2026 F2 Drivers’ standings
Noel León finished eighth for Campos Racing and added four points to his Championship total. The Mexican increased his tally from 50 to 54 but dropped from third to fifth following the larger scores recorded by Câmara and Dunne.
Dino Beganovic finished sixth for DAMS Lucas Oil and collected eight points. He moved from 45 to 53 and remains sixth in the standings, only one point behind León.
The pair are separated by a single point after five rounds, while both remain within six points of Dunne in fourth.
Stenshorne drops to seventh
Martinius Stenshorne endured a difficult Feature Race and finished 17th. The Rodin Motorsport driver failed to score and remains on the 48 points he held after the Sprint Race. He consequently dropped from fifth to seventh in the Drivers’ Championship as Câmara and Dunne moved ahead.
Stenshorne is now six points behind León and five behind Beganovic. However, his victories and podium finishes earlier in the season ensure he remains inside the leading group.
Van Hoepen climbs ahead of Maini in 2026 F2 standings
Laurens van Hoepen was another significant mover after finishing fifth for Trident. The Dutch driver collected 10 points, increasing his total from 33 to 43. He climbed from ninth to eighth in the standings and moved ahead of Sprint Race winner Kush Maini.
Maini finished ninth in the Feature Race and added two points. His total increased from 39 to 41, placing him two points behind van Hoepen in ninth.
Ritomo Miyata failed to score after finishing 18th but retained 10th in the standings with 30 points.
Bennett scores his first points of the season
John Bennett recorded his first F2 points in 2026 after finishing seventh for Trident. The British driver started outside the leading Championship group but delivered a strong Feature Race performance to collect six points. He also received one point from qualifying, taking his weekend contribution to seven. Bennett consequently moved ahead of Rafael Villagómez and into 21st in the standings.
Roman Bilinski claimed the final point after finishing 10th. The DAMS Lucas Oil driver increased his total to 12 and moved level with Oliver Goethe, who was the only retirement from the race.

Campos Racing remains at the top of the Teams’ Championship after both of its drivers scored in the Feature Race. Tsolov collected 12 points for fourth, while León added four for eighth. The team therefore scored 16 points and increased its total from 118 to 134.
Campos leaves Barcelona with a 19-point advantage over Rodin Motorsport.
Rodin closes slightly despite Stenshorne’s difficult race
Rodin Motorsport added 18 points through Dunne’s promoted second-place finish. Stenshorne failed to score after finishing 17th, meaning Dunne supplied all of the team’s Feature Race points. Rodin increased its total from 97 to 115 and reduced Campos Racing’s advantage from 21 to 19 points.
The team remains firmly involved in the Championship fight, although Stenshorne’s scoreless Sunday prevented it from placing greater pressure on Campos.
MP Motorsport remains third after 2026 F2 Barcelona Feature Race
MP Motorsport retained third in the Teams’ Championship after Minì finished third. The Italian supplied all 15 of the team’s points, increasing MP Motorsport’s total from 83 to 98.
Oliver Goethe was unable to contribute. His car stopped at the beginning of the race, prompting the opening-lap Safety Car, and he was classified as the only retirement.
MP Motorsport is 17 points behind Rodin and eight ahead of Invicta Racing.
Câmara brings Invicta closer to the top three
Invicta Racing recorded the largest Feature Race score of any team through Câmara’s victory and pole position. Câmara contributed 27 points, while teammate Joshua Dürksen finished 14th and failed to score.
Invicta increased its total from 63 to 90 points. The team remains fourth but reduced its deficit to MP Motorsport from 20 points after the Sprint Race to eight.
The victory also moved Invicta 25 points clear of DAMS Lucas Oil in fifth.
Trident climbs to seventh
Trident enjoyed one of its strongest results of the season as both van Hoepen and Bennett finished inside the points.
Van Hoepen earned 10 points for fifth, while Bennett added six for seventh. Together with Bennett’s qualifying point, Trident’s Barcelona Feature Race contribution lifted the team to 50 points. Trident consequently moved level with Hitech and climbed ahead of the team in the standings.
DAMS Lucas Oil retained fifth after Beganovic and Bilinski collected nine points between them. ART Grand Prix remains sixth following Maini’s ninth-place finish.

Câmara’s victory has brought the Brazilian firmly into contention. He trails Minì by 17 points, while Dunne is only another two points behind.
The fight behind the leading four is equally close. León and Beganovic are separated by one point, with Stenshorne only a further five points behind.
F2 will return at Spielberg from June 26–28, where Minì will attempt to protect his advantage against Tsolov, Câmara and Dunne.
