The 2026 edition of the Formula E Sanya E-Prix is completed, read here the complete results. Former Formula E champion Jake Dennis secured earlier pole position for this event, and will line up next to his rookie teammate Felipe Drugovich, who has very recently obtained his first podium in Monaco.
The pole sitter had a strong start, with dennis joined by Drugovich back in P2 after five laps. On Lap6, Wehrlein’s charge began, as he went gunning for a podium finish and moved up to P1 two laps after.
Citroen had a charge on Lap 13, as Cassidy went into the lead and Vergne improved too.
On Lap 16, Ticktum slams into the back of Evans, losing his wing at Turn 7. The first red flag of the race was issued at the beginning of lap 19, as the two collided again, affecting several cars again. The red flag endangered Dennis’s lead, as he had just developed a good gap by taking advantage of Attack Mode.
However, the Brit managed to keep hold of his P1 in spite of the standing start. On Lap 23 Rowland took the lead, with Mueller climbing into the podium shortly after.
With ten laps to go, Nato made contact with Wehrlein, hitting the wall unable to restart and causing a full course yellow.
Antonio da Costa received a 5 seconds time penalty for causing a collision. The Portuguese was leading the race, but ultimately Dennis resumed his P1. Rowland made contact with the wall on the final race lap. A full course yellow was issued to remove him, with the final two corners of the race under green flag again.
