Felipe Drugovich achieved a memorable maiden Formula E podium with P2 at Round 10 of the 2026 Monaco E-Prix doubleheader.

The Brazilian driver originally crossed the chequered flag in P3 but was promoted to P2 as Edoardo Mortara’s 10-second time penalty was applied. Nevertheless, Drugovich secured the result by driving a clean race and executing a well-timed energy management strategy.

He took his four minutes of Attack Mode on Lap 12. On his way up the grid, he gained two positions in one move after taking advantage of an intense battle between Mortara and Nico Müller. Later, he dropped back a few places before taking his final boost to secure his maiden Formula E podium.

Now, after securing 18 points, the Andretti Formula E driver has moved up to P12 in the Drivers’ Standings with a total of 32 points.

Drugovich on his podium in Monaco

Speaking at the 2026 Formula E Monaco E-Prix post-race drivers’ press conference, attended by Pit Debrief, Drugovich shared that achieving this result at the Circuit de Monaco made it even more special.

“Yeah it is really really special you know every time I’ve been here, in Formula 2, I’ve been twice and also Formula E once,” he said. “I have got a podium now, so it’s a really really special place for me. So yeah I just need to thank the team, thank god you know this is honestly a one-off opportunity you know to get a podium on my debut here. I was really really close already yesterday and we got it today so yeah I’m really really happy.”

Race 1 of the Monaco E-Prix double-header weekend also proved special for Drugovich as he started P10 and finished just outside the podium in P4.

The drive from P5 to P2

When asked at what point during the race he realized that a podium was headed his way, Drugovich explained:

“Yeah honestly you know we’ve seen other races among this year, you know the classic was you know the last 10 laps I had no battery left, but actually this time was fine. So you know finally we started to get some good results, you know since early we changed a few things in the car, we changed a few parts and seemed to improve a lot the efficiency as well.”

He continued: “So yeah, things have started to go our way and yeah I would say probably you know when we were just in this little train with Rui and also Edo together and Edo had the penalty so I was like okay worst that can happen is going to be in P3. So yeah that was a good feeling to have and yeah really really happy.”

Steadily finding improvement

Drugovich faced several tough opening races with Andretti, often finishing outside the points. However, his breakthrough came recently in Round 8 of the 2026 Berlin E-Prix, where he finished P9. Since then, he has been on a three-race point-scoring streak.

Reflecting on what he has learned from his past race results, Drugovich said:

“No honestly it’s just you know what every driver talks about you know, really good races and it’s something that I struggled a little bit at the beginning of the year, and things are starting to get going and I’m starting to understand it more and more. Obviously qualifying has been a strong point for my year, I would say you know quite okay considering our pace.”

Looking ahead to the next race, he highlighted the importance of building on his momentum and improving execution.

“And yeah I think I had a pace today to give it my all, I just had a mistake in the last corner. So yeah, that was on me. I was not so happy about that one but yeah after that I think we just came back in the race. I think it’s just honestly just winning races, just getting more acquainted with the team as well and knowing better what to do in each sector of the race,” he concluded.
