The third round of the 2026 FIA-certified French F4 Championship delivered a demanding weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, where high temperatures, Safety Car interruptions and closely matched racing tested the FFSA Academy field. Three different drivers won the three races, while several penalties reshaped the final classifications.
Guillaume Bouzar emerged as the weekend’s strongest points scorer. The championship leader claimed another double pole before finishing second in Races 1 and 2 and winning Race 3. Thibaut Ramaekers celebrated victory on home soil, while Yuval Rosen secured his maiden French F4 win in the reverse-grid contest. Bouzar consequently extended his championship advantage from 47 to 58 points.
2026 French F4: Spa-Francorchamps: Qualifying: Bouzar secures another double pole
Bouzar approached Friday’s Qualifying session patiently. Rather than immediately pushing the tyres, he gradually increased his pace through the opening laps before launching his decisive attempts during the middle of the session.
Ramaekers initially established the benchmark at his home circuit, while Rosen, Dauvergne, Herrouin and Dussol also spent time near the front. However, Bouzar moved clear with a 2:23.770 and secured pole position for Race 1 by 0.182 seconds over Ramaekers.
Herrouin took third ahead of Tsuchihashi, Dussol and Goudchaux. Soares followed in seventh, while Dauvergne and McKenna completed the next two positions. Rosen finished 10th and therefore secured pole for Race 2 through the reverse-grid format. Billard led the women’s order from 12th overall.
Bouzar also set the fastest second-best lap with a 2:23.885, which placed him on pole for Race 3. Herrouin joined him on the front row, while Ramaekers and Tsuchihashi occupied row two. Dauvergne and Goudchaux followed on the third row.

2026 French F4: Spa-Francorchamps: Race 1: Ramaekers triumphs on home soil
Ramaekers immediately placed Bouzar under pressure and completed the pass for the lead before the end of the opening lap. Behind them, Herrouin retained third ahead of Tsuchihashi as the leading group began to separate from the rest of the field.
A collision between Zanfari and Cheezum then brought out the Safety Car. Ramaekers controlled the restart and quickly rebuilt his advantage, while Herrouin attacked Bouzar for second. Herrouin briefly moved ahead, but Bouzar recovered the position during the closing stages and also recorded the fastest lap.
Ramaekers crossed the line 3.423 seconds clear to claim his second victory of the season. Herrouin completed the podium, while Tsuchihashi held fourth. Dussol passed Iliffe to take fifth, and Dauvergne recovered from ninth on the grid to finish seventh.
Stiebleichinger won the women’s classification from 11th overall after finishing ahead of Billard. Brian passed Fisher late in the race to take third in the women’s order.

2026 French F4: Spa-Francorchamps: Race 2: Rosen claims maiden victory
Rosen started Race 2 from pole after the championship reversed the leading 10 drivers from Qualifying. The Israeli driver produced a clean launch and immediately established control at the front.
McKenna held second for much of the contest, but Bouzar made rapid progress from 10th. The championship leader prevailed in battles with Goudchaux, Soares, Tsuchihashi and Herrouin before catching McKenna and moving into second.
Rosen remained composed and crossed the line 7.365 seconds ahead to secure his maiden French F4 victory. McKenna completed the podium, with Herrouin narrowly holding off Tsuchihashi for fourth. Soares, Iliffe and Senecloze occupied the remaining points-paying positions.
Brian delivered the standout recovery in the women’s contest. She started 28th but climbed to 10th overall and won the category ahead of Fisher and Stiebleichinger. Meanwhile, early incidents ended the races of Dussol and Dauvergne, while Ramaekers finished one lap behind after losing ground.

2026 French F4: Spa-Francorchamps: Race 3: Bouzar completes a decisive weekend
Bouzar converted pole position into the lead as the field entered La Source. Tsuchihashi and Dauvergne also made strong starts and moved ahead of Herrouin, whose race quickly unravelled after a puncture.
A collision involving Proenca brought out the first Safety Car. Bouzar controlled the restart, while Soares and Rosen gained ground behind the leaders. Goudchaux later ran off the circuit while battling Dussol, prompting another neutralisation and setting up a final-lap sprint.
Bouzar resisted the pressure and took his fourth victory of the season. Tsuchihashi crossed the line second, but officials issued a one-place penalty for cutting a chicane while overtaking. Ramaekers therefore inherited second, while Tsuchihashi completed the podium ahead of Dauvergne and Soares.
Billard finished eighth overall and led the women’s runners on track. Stiebleichinger followed in second, while Fisher and Zanfari completed the leading four. As Billard could not score Women’s Championship points, Stiebleichinger collected the maximum eligible total and moved into the championship lead.

Weekend standouts and key trends
Bouzar again demonstrated why he leads the championship. He secured two pole positions, two second-place finishes, one victory and the fastest laps in Races 1 and 2. His 55-point haul moved him from 100 to 155 points and increased his advantage over Ramaekers to 58.
Ramaekers also produced a strong home round. His Race 1 victory and promoted second place in Race 3 outweighed his difficult reverse-grid contest. He added the final race’s fastest lap and moved from a tie for second into sole possession of the runner-up position.
Tsuchihashi enjoyed his strongest weekend of the campaign with fourth, fifth and third-place finishes. Those results lifted him from eighth to fifth in the standings. Rosen also made considerable progress, following his maiden victory with sixth in Race 3 to move into the championship top 10.
In the women’s competition, three drivers led the on-track classifications across the weekend. Stiebleichinger won Race 1, Brian produced a remarkable recovery to win Race 2 and Billard led the field in Race 3. However, the championship’s eligibility rules allowed Stiebleichinger to leave Belgium as the new points leader.

Bouzar strengthened his position through consistency and another Feature Race victory. Ramaekers now leads the pursuit, while Herrouin moved ahead of Soares into third despite his difficult final race.

Conclusion: Bouzar enters the second half with a commanding lead
Spa-Francorchamps produced three different race winners and strengthened the impression that the 2026 French F4 field contains several drivers capable of fighting at the front. Ramaekers delivered for the Belgian spectators, while Rosen became the season’s fifth different winner with a controlled reverse-grid performance.
However, Bouzar continued to set the championship standard. Even when he did not win, he maximised his points through second-place finishes, pole positions and fastest laps. His Race 3 victory then completed another highly productive weekend and gave him a 58-point advantage at the halfway stage.
The championship will resume at Magny-Cours from 31 July to 2 August. Bouzar will arrive as the clear title favourite, but Ramaekers, Herrouin, Soares and the improving Tsuchihashi will aim to reduce his advantage as the season enters its decisive second half.
