Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA will field a two-driver line-up in the #12 Cadillac V-Series.R for next month’s Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo, with Will Stevens and Norman Nato set to share the car at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace.

Neither regular driver Alex Lynn nor his recent substitute Louis Delétraz appears on the provisional 35-car entry list for the fourth round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, which takes place from 10–12 July.

Stevens and Nato tasked with defending Cadillac’s victory in the 2026 WEC 6 Hours of São Paulo

Stevens and Nato return to the scene of Cadillac’s breakthrough FIA WEC triumph, having combined with Lynn to win at Interlagos in 2025. The #12 crew led home the sister #38 car to complete a commanding one-two finish for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA, delivering the Detroit manufacturer’s first victory in the championship.

Their attempt to repeat that result will be undertaken as a duo, mirroring the arrangement used at the season-opening 6 Hours of Imola. Delétraz subsequently joined Stevens and Nato for Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans while Lynn continued his recovery.

Lynn has been absent throughout the campaign because of an ongoing neck problem. Following Le Mans, the British driver revealed that he had undergone surgery on his neck and shoulder to address an issue he had been managing since the end of 2024.

Cadillac remains a São Paulo threat in 2026

The reduced crew arrives in Brazil with Cadillac still searching for its first podium of the 2026 WEC season. Despite demonstrating front-running speed during each of the opening three rounds, a combination of incidents and missed opportunities has prevented the manufacturer from converting its pace into a top-three finish.

Interlagos nevertheless represents one of Cadillac’s strongest opportunities. Its dominant performance there last season, coupled with the #12 car’s recent victory challenge at Le Mans, ensures Stevens and Nato will remain among the leading contenders.

Toyota carries the strongest momentum into the weekend following its sixth outright 24 Hours of Le Mans victory. The Japanese manufacturer has also won two of the previous five FIA WEC races staged at Interlagos—more than any other marque.

BMW, which earned its first Hypercar victory at Spa in May, and reigning champion Ferrari remain closely matched with Toyota in the developing title fight. Cadillac, meanwhile, returns as the unpredictable challenger at a circuit where it has already proven its potential.

Aston Martin also adopts two-driver crews

The #12 Cadillac will be one of three Hypercars competing with only two drivers in São Paulo. Heart of Racing Team’s Aston Martin Valkyries will revert to the line-ups previously used at Imola and Spa. Harry Tincknell and Tom Gamble will share the #007 Valkyrie, while Alex Riberas and Marco Sørensen will drive the sister #009 entry.

The remaining Hypercar entries retain three-driver crews, including the #38 Cadillac of Earl Bamber, Sébastien Bourdais and Jack Aitken.

In total, 17 Hypercars are scheduled to contest the Brazilian round alongside 18 LMGT3 entries.

IMSA clashes prompt WEC LMGT3 changes ahead of 2026 São Paulo outing

Several LMGT3 teams have also altered their driver line-ups due to a date clash with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello will miss his home FIA WEC race while fulfilling his IMSA commitments. Kobe Pauwels takes his place in Heart of Racing Team’s #23 Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 alongside Gray Newell and Jonny Adam. Pauwels previously substituted for Barrichello at Imola and now receives another opportunity with the American team.

Recent Le Mans class winner Nicky Catsburg is absent for the same reason. Nicolás Varrone replaces the Dutchman in TF Sport’s #33 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R, joining Ben Keating and Jonny Edgar.

Varrone returns to LMGT3 competition after spending the 2025 FIA WEC season in Proton Competition’s Hypercar programme, during which he secured a points-paying finish in São Paulo.

Esteban Masson, meanwhile, returns to Akkodis ASP Team’s #78 Lexus RC F LMGT3 after temporarily moving to Forestier Racing by Panis for another LMP2 campaign at Le Mans.

Masson will share the Lexus with Tom van Rompuy and Hadrien David as the French squad returns to the venue of its maiden FIA WEC victory
