Free Practice for Round 7 of the 2026 Formula 3 (F3) season got underway at Budapest during the Hungarian GP weekend.
Salim Hanna will be stepping in for AIX Racing, for the second time this year. He previously took part Round 4 in Spielberg, and currently races in Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) where he is currently sixth in the Standings.
The drivers hit the track with just over 30 mins left of the session. Ugochukwu rose to the top of the timings early with a 1:34.798, just ahead of Freddie Slater with a 1:34.850 and Tuukka Taponen 1:34.924.
Hanna hit the barriers at Turn 5 with 24 minutes left of the session, bringing out the red flag. The session resumed with just over 11 minutes on the clock. A second red flag was brought out for Noah Strømsted, as his TRIDENT machinery stopped on the pre-penultimate corner.
At the end of the F3 Free Practice session, Slater topped the timings with a 1:33.947, ahead of Brando Badoer and Pedro Clerot.
