Porsche factory driver Julien Andlauer will return to LMP2 machinery for the European Le Mans Series 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, joining DKR Engineering for the fourth round of the season.
Andlauer will share the No. 3 Oreca 07 Gibson with Jean Glorieux and Marlon Hernandez, becoming the third different driver to partner the pair during the 2026 campaign. His addition headlines a small number of changes across the 47-car entry list, with Racing Spirit of Léman and Proton Competition also revising their LMGT3 line-ups, while M Racing makes a change in LMP3.
Andlauer returns to LMP2 after Le Mans outing
Spa will mark Andlauer’s second LMP2 appearance of the year after he returned to the category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Duqueine Team. The Porsche Penske Motorsport regular showed strong pace in the Oreca 07 Gibson and remained in contention for victory before a late brake failure ended the crew’s challenge.
He will now step back into the same type of machinery with DKR Engineering, albeit in the LMP2 Pro/Am category. The move gives DKR a driver with recent prototype experience as well as extensive knowledge from top-level endurance competition, while Glorieux will also have the added motivation of competing on home soil in Belgium.
Andlauer’s arrival continues a season of change in the No. 3 entry, with DKR rotating the third seat alongside Glorieux and Hernandez. However, the Frenchman’s recent Le Mans appearance should allow him to settle into the Oreca quickly as the team prepares for one of the fastest and most demanding circuits on the ELMS calendar.
Racing Spirit of Léman reshuffles Aston Martin line-up
Racing Spirit of Léman will also arrive at Spa with a revised driver combination in the No. 59 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo. Parker Thompson and Anthony McIntosh will replace Clément Mateu and Valentin Hasse-Clot for the Belgian round.
Mateu will miss the event because of budget constraints, while Hasse-Clot will prioritise his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship commitments at Virginia International Raceway, which takes place on the same weekend. Their absences open the door for two drivers who currently compete with WRT BMW in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
McIntosh already has experience with both Racing Spirit of Léman and Aston Martin machinery, having raced for the team in the 2025 WEC season finale in Bahrain. Thompson, by contrast, will make his first competitive appearance in the Vantage GT3, adding another adaptation challenge to a weekend that already brings a different championship and race format.
Picariello returns to ELMS with Proton Competition
Proton Competition will also make a change in its No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo, with two-time ELMS champion Alessio Picariello replacing Harry King for Spa. King will miss the race because of the same IMSA schedule clash, giving Picariello the opportunity to return to the championship at his home round.
The Belgian has considerable ELMS experience and brings championship-winning pedigree to the line-up. His familiarity with Porsche machinery should also help him integrate quickly as Proton looks to strengthen its position during the second half of the season.
Meanwhile, Martin Berry will remain in the No. 77 for the rest of the campaign. Berry joined the programme after ‘Bankcy’ suffered a back injury during a British GT incident at Spa earlier this year, and Proton has now confirmed that he will continue through the remaining rounds.
Briggs joins M Racing for Spa
The only other change on the provisional 47-car entry list comes in LMP3, where Alfie Briggs will join Thomas Imbourg and Nick Adcock in the No. 68 M Racing Ligier JS P325 Toyota.
Imbourg and Adcock competed as a two-driver pairing at Imola, but Briggs’ arrival restores the car to a three-driver line-up for Spa. His addition comes at an important stage of the season, with the LMP3 title battle still closely contested and every point increasingly valuable as the championship moves into its second half.
Spa entry list takes shape ahead of Round 4
Most of the grid remains unchanged from Imola, but the handful of late revisions adds several notable names to the Belgian round. Andlauer returns to LMP2 after a strong Le Mans performance, while Picariello makes a home appearance with Proton and Racing Spirit of Léman brings in Thompson and McIntosh for its Aston Martin.
Briggs completes the changes in LMP3, leaving the 47-car field largely settled ahead of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 23 August.
With the championship entering Round 4 of six, the Belgian event could prove decisive across all four classes as teams begin the final half of the 2026 ELMS season.
