Kimi Antonelli led the way in FP1 at the 2026 F1 Dutch GP, setting a 1:12.949 as the sole practice session of the weekend got underway at Zandvoort. The full session results are below.
FP1 marked F1’s return from the summer break, with the Dutch GP also serving as Zandvoort’s final scheduled appearance on the calendar. Kimi Antonelli arrived at the dunes with a 50-point championship lead over Lewis Hamilton, and a 59-point buffer over teammate George Russell in third. Lando Norris carried momentum into the weekend after his Hungarian GP win before the break. Max Verstappen faced what could be his last home race at Zandvoort, having taken three consecutive victories there between 2021 and 2023. However, he is yet to add a win in 2026.
Verstappen’s teammate for this weekend is Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson as Isack Hadjar suffers from a broken wrist. In Lawson’s place, Red Bull’s reserve driver, Yuki Tsunoda, drives the VCARB 03.
Several teams also brought fresh parts to the dunes, with Alpine introducing an eight-piece upgrade package, and Aston Martin bringing five changes alongside a new-specification Honda power unit. McLaren also rolled out revised rear-end componenets to complete the package it started in Hungary.
