KMR Sport’s Alex O’Grady claimed his first Omologato One to Watch Award of the 2026 GB4 season after producing his strongest weekend of the campaign at Snetterton.
The Irishman took pole position and won the opening two races of the event, scoring the maximum 70 points available towards the award. His performances also significantly strengthened his championship position, as he left Snetterton with a commanding advantage at the top of the standings.
Thus, O’Grady became the third different driver to secure an Omologato timepiece this season, joining Elite Motorsport’s Fred Green and former Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing driver Luke Hilton.
O’Grady rewarded after Snetterton double
O’Grady entered the weekend as the championship leader and strengthened his position with his most productive event of the year.
He won Race 1 after Green retired while leading before holding off his title rival throughout Race 2 to complete a double victory. O’Grady also secured pole for the second contest through his second-fastest Qualifying lap.
Those results gave him the full 70 points available across the opening two races and ensured he topped the Omologato One to Watch classification for the weekend.
The KMR Sport driver welcomed the addition of another prize from his successful Snetterton event.
“It’s nice to get these awards along the way, they really mean a lot and they’re good to have in your collection, I’m really happy with them,” O’Grady said at the end of the event.
Third different winner of 2026
The Omologato One to Watch Award goes to the highest-scoring driver across the first two races of each GB4 event, with the winner receiving a timepiece from the motorsport-inspired watchmaker.
Green claimed the first two awards of the season at Silverstone and Oulton Park, scoring 70 and 64 points respectively.
Hilton then took consecutive awards at Donington Park and the championship’s second visit to Silverstone. His 64-point Donington haul earned him his first, before 59 points proved enough on the championship’s return to Silverstone.
O’Grady’s Snetterton performance therefore made him the first new winner since Hilton and only the second driver this season to achieve the maximum 70-point score.
Omologato continues GB4 partnership
Omologato draws inspiration from manufacturers, circuits and events across motorsport history, with the British brand bringing more than 25 years of watchmaking experience to its racing-focused collections.
Founder Shami Kalra leads the company, which also maintains a presence across other major categories, including IndyCar and the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
The One to Watch Award adds another incentive for GB4 drivers across each race weekend, rewarding outright performance through the opening two contests.
