The final practice session of the 2026 Indy NXT season has been completed at Laguna Seca Raceway, view the full results here.

Heading into the final two races of the season, there are three drivers still fighting for the championship. It was a tough first practice for all three of them with Tymek Kucharczyk in ninth, Enzo Fittipaldi in 13th, and Nikita Johnson in 18th.

The second 25-minute practice session went green at 3:35 P. M. local time.

Just over one minute into the session, Seb Murray slid off-track, putting his No. 27 Andretti Global into the tire barriers. The red flag is out, with 23 minutes to go.

A 5-minute clean-up allows the green flag to fly with 18 minutes to go.

The first cars back on track are Lochie Hughes and Kucharczyk. The two drivers have a bit of a race on track before Hughes gets in front, taking the top spot of the timesheet as well.

Kucharczyk jumps to second, before being shuffled down the order by Johnson, JM Correa, and Myles Rowe.

Fittipaldi sets the fastest time for few seconds, before Hughes takes the spot back. Max Taylor joins his Andretti teammate at the top, with a 1:14.662. Josh Pierson jumps up with a 1:14.287.

A clean second-half of practice

Alexander Koreiba is the first driver to take a spin in the Corkscrew. He gets straightened out, and back on track.

Cape Motorsport teammates Matteo Nannini and Johnson are in fourth and fifth, before Fittipaldi puts in his best lap of the weekend for fourth.

The No. 99 of Myles Rowe slots into third place with a 1:14.598 as Max Garcia jumps into sixth.

Nolan Allaer sets a 1:15.152, good enough for ninth, ahead of Alessandro de Tullio.

With 3 minutes to go, Jacob Abel puts his No. 48 car into first place with a 1:14.226. He holds onto it for a moment before Pierson pips him by 0.004 seconds.

Championship leader Johnson takes a trip through the gravel, keeping his No. 21 machine out of the barriers.

The checkered flag is out with all three championship contenders outside of the top-five. Indy NXT returns tomorrow for qualifying at 12:00 P. M. local time.
